I’ll never forget this, though. What a fun month+ it’s been. These players gave everything they had and in the end, perhaps a little more investment might have made the difference. We’ve got a great foundation and now it’s time to kick on and make the step up. COYS!

Fun? FFS!!! This was a CL final!!! The game's not about fun, it's about glory !! And we fell woefully short of glory a 'fucking' gain!!!

Tbf we haven’t played a good 90 for time. Whu, afcb, Brighton, were all like tonight’s lacklustre performance.

But for me. Kane did nothing to affect the game.

I have but one question...how did Poch explain to Lucas Moura that he wasn't starting that match...?? Harry Kane is not God or Superman...he is a player returning from injury and should have been sitting in the wings ready to come on if necessary. Lucas scores a hat trick in the semi final, is obviously flying with confidence and he lands with a bump back on the bench.
I feel so sorry for the man, seems such a nice guy too..wouldn't be surprised if he slammed in a transfer request....I would in his boots.

Kane's our best player though and he's been declared fit. Barcelona start Messi if hes just back from injury, Juventus start Ronaldo, Lewandowski at Bayern, Liverpool made the same choice about Firmino.

Should Lucas have played instead of Son or Moura? Maybe. Its always easy to say it was the wrong decision afterwards.

If there was one player I'd allow to be a little down and off his game after being treated like he was and then asked to come on and try to win the match (yet again) it's Moura.

Alli and Eriksen are like our Ozils. Look good when playing well, but can be passengers when the chips and flicks don't come off. They have more talent than the likes of Henderson and Milner, but their running and closing sets the tone for Liverpool.

No substance. Alright looking flashy when it all comes off against bottom half teams.

Both of them are so overrated it’s unreal.

I’m being very negative. I know that. But I have also watched Alli dick about for the last 2 years and I will call him out. He is not a top class player. In a year or two he will be at someone like Wolves or Bournemouth.

Certainly frustrating. But look at Arsenal in the week. They got completely outdone by a club nowhere near Liverpool’s level this season.

We matched a team who took a fantastic City side to the last match to win the league.

Eriksen to Real Madrid....after that performance?..when the going gets tough...more often than not ...he doesn’t get going. At least Alli tried to be creative but it didn’t come off.
Hoddle seems to think we were the best team. We never looked like scoring whereas they did when they went forwards.
I doubt Moura would have done better than Kane.
2 CM and a right back required in the summer.

That's what hurts the most for me too mate, would be different if it was a domestic final but a CL final?! The stars most likely won't align for us for a while and this was a good chance whilst the likes of Barca, Madrid, Bayern and PSG are all underperforming. I was watching it and thinking even though we weren't playing great, if we were to equalise we'd probably look like the ones to go and win it. I am proud, just really wish we made more of the opportunity.

It was the wrong decision in hindsight. But a lot of people said before the game he shouldn't start. Hes always slow to get up to speed when he returns. It was the wrong decision. If I was Lucas I'd be questioning whether I want to stay here or not

On my way back from WHL. We got to the champions league final, I was so fortunate to be in Amsterdam as in my mind we won’t the CL then. I’m so proud, couple of signings and we are there. Liverpool have taken a few attempts and I know we are so close to that level, please Levy just invest and please give Pochettino what he needs to bring us to the next level as in win a piece of silverware that we deserve COYS
