I hate losing any game like that. Where the opposition do absolutely fk all but we go and shoot ourselves in the foot.
26secs!! That has to be a record even for us. Thats a bitter pill to swallow. To get to a CL final and do something so fucking stupid you'd be furious with your u10 football team doing it in a league game. So unprofessional. Like getting floored in the first round after 5 secs of a boxing match.
Absolutely gutted.
Christ Liverpool were shit. And the crowd! Was anyone in the stadium?

So many of you guys can see the transition of the ball across the midfield was so fucking damn slow although we had Winks and Sissoko, who both did well under the pressing and Sissoko gotta deal with the pressure of just giving away a penalty, but let Eriksen free with an out-of-jail card?

He should be controlling the flow from midfield to attack but I didn't really see him in the first half TBH. There were such huge gaps in the scums defence that he could probe but he resorted to playing short back passes with our two cute CMs..

The break helped us. Gave us a chance to get players back, freshen up, etc. Had we played like that against Liverpool two weeks ago we might have got hammered. The break closed the gap. It was like a preseason game unfortunately and we were punished for our mistakes.

Did it really? I would have rather of faced a club that got their heart tore out last week with losing the league than played against them tonight

That's what hurts the most for me too mate, would be different if it was a domestic final but a CL final?! The stars most likely won't align for us for a while and this was a good chance whilst the likes of Barca, Madrid, Bayern and PSG are all underperforming. I was watching it and thinking even though we weren't playing great, if we were to equalise we'd probably look like the ones to go and win it. I am proud, just really wish we made more of the opportunity.

The ref cost us, our gameplay and strategy went out of the window after 30 seconds. They just had to defend and didnt have to come at us which effected our counter attacking play.

I really hate football, money money money.

No he didn't. The goal should not have changed too much in our approach. And most coaches and managers in the game will tell you that. If it did then I would be more worried about Poch than I was previously.

If that was Eriksen’s swan song for us then what a pathetic way to go out, he was awful. If he plays like that for Madrid he will get chewed up and spat out

I don't actually think the early goal helped Liverpool in terms of performance. They seemed totally unsure of what to do and just tended to drop off, and play very safely and just get the ball down the other end of the pitch, clear their lines etc. They sat on what they had and didn't try to do anything. There wasn't really anything superior to what we did or 'domination' - just an ultra cautious side playing an ultra limp one for most of the 90 minutes.

My Mrs said at least you had those 2 incredibles game, what upsets me the most is I'm calm enough to actually agree with her because not once in that game did we produce a single moment to get the blood pumping even a little bit. I'm gutted, think those players will have a lot of regret with how that game transpired.

For neutrals that must've been an utterly boring game. For us, nail-biting but soo frustrating. Those errors in the final third, that lack of aggressiveness in attack, when you constantly attack the space or the opponent and don't give them any breathing space. But even so, Liverpool were visibly tired in the last 10 minutes and we got 6 shots (5 on target) in the last 10 minutes.

We ended up with more of the possession, shots, dribbles, but Liverpool were more clinical, more 'clutch' to borrow a phrase from NBA.

That game could've gone either way.

Proud of the side tonight, we fucking dominated that, pen decision was absolutely ridiculous and many of my pool mates agreed. Gutted but back poch this window and i can see us winning this in the not too distant. On the down side we never looked liked scoring.

I cant feel that low. We didn't come into this game with form but we weren't outplayed. Eriksen hasn't showed for 3 months and didn't really sell himself to anyone tonight so I'm not really sure I'm bothered what happens to him, I would just like a replacement that has some consistency. I think we are setting ourselves up with the potential for more of these nights.

ColdElectric with your WTF.
Comment then. Which point of my opinion is wrong or your WTF is pure stupid.

Flat and a bit broken after that. Appauling game, needed a spark that we couldn't find. If the game had been higher tempo the emotions might have been harder but it feels deflating.

So proud to get there and dared to dream we could complete the job but wasn't to be.

Don't get the pen decision, harsh and game changing. 2nd was always a possibility while we looked for a goal. As JJ said in commentary it's a real game of "What if..."

People saying the penalty ruined the game or cost us, get a fucking grip, we had 88 minutes to get back into the fucking game. Responsibility is our own.

Nah, the ‘penalty’ was just unlucky. Could happen any game.

Sissoko had his arm up telling our players where to position.

Weren’t a penalty anyway.

If we'd be anywhere near our best we would easily have won that game. That's what's gutting.

That and the ridiculous fucking penalty. I've seen so many shit decisions this season, I feel crushed by that pen. Gonna give things a break next season. Can't take it.

It’s a bullshit penalty as far as I’m concerned. How many replays would they of shown had it been the other way around. The problem was after that we really didn’t pen them in and create sustained pressure. Feels like an opportunity lost.
