So what if he did, he would have still wanted to win the final. It’s such a non story and probably not even factually correct

Its a story doing the rounds at the moment and was in the Mirror. He was a little bit of a passenger this season. Like someone said earlier, he was undroppable under Poch. I think he feels he is too good for us. Personally, as a fan, I hate being held to ransom by having just a single player for creativity. Not his but the clubs failings.

If he stays he needs competition and lets pray he doesnt run his contract down and signs a deal. I am tired of hearing that 'Christian is a very good player and needs a special time for negotiation' twaddle. Get it done before it starts to smell like Sol. If he goes, then thanks for the memories.

If we got a premium from United for Eriksen he can piss off. He apparently had all his stuff all packed away from before the CL final no wonder the greatest player since sliced bread was not at the Final he was already on the train.
Tip for the future: Don't believe the Sunday Mirror.

He's also been the deciding factor in crucial matches for us and for Denmark.

I really can't understand this urge to downplay our own players. The funny thing is that most of my non-spurs supporting mates ałl talk about Eriksen as one of the best playmakers in world. KDB and a few others are obviously the upper echelon of players but Eriksen is often discussed in the same sentence. It's only on this forum there's this constant debate wether he's overrated or not. Eriksen has the stats and the stature these days to back it up.

Why is it down playing him? He is a quality player with the stats to back that up but also frequently goes missing. He's both of those things and I expect him to be a lot better if he stays

Stats sometimes are limited and opinions in this game of footie very greatly. I'm not saying Eriksen isn't talented. I just don't think he is a game changer. I think he us particularly good at scoring (and much like Greaves style) and is our best player.
We have lacked creative players generally for a long time and Eriksen is excellent at pushing the ball about. He just diesnt have an edge in his game.
I'd rather take Zidanes (one of the greatest) word than Trippiers on Eriksen

Don't all players, even the most talented ones, go missing from time to time? My point is that this "Goes missing"-narrative is so hollow because it essentially concerns all players. Not even Messi and Ronaldo have perfect streakes of 50+ matches a season where they are great. Kane, Dele, Son, Lucas, all class attacking players, frequently failed to influence matches from time to time this season. Just like Eriksen they had better and lesser matches / better and lesser periods of the season.

Some of them can actually take corners

Kane fights for the ball works his heart out EVERY GAME so don't give me that, Son too.

How effective was Eriksen in the last 10 or 15 games of the season.
Kane was injured Dele semi injured... We needed Eriksen to be at his best and what did we get?

He always did well against the Brighton and Fulhams
Mate if you can be bothered, loads of us on here has given tonnes of examples about when he's scored/assisted/played well against the big teams. If you want to ignore basic facts, then fair enough.
