I did state that the deal preferred was no ‘loan-back’. And certainly not until January. I hear from well placed ex-pros, who run established academies in Yorkshire, that he has everything to hit the ground running quicker than people think. His football intelligence is very impressive I am being told.

I hope we get this kid. I’ve only seen some online footage but he looks like a perfect Poch player- athletic and technically decent with some tenacity too

Not to place additional hype, but wasn’t there a similar train of thought when Alli landed, that he was far closer to being ready than many expected. If I recall correctly, he bowled and smashed the physical tests in pre-season, and trained/played with confidence from the off.
I’d assume Poch will have had some clear direction from Bielsa on where Clarke is at in terms of ability and development, both technically and mentally.

I know a lot of people will be underwhelmed as on paper he’s not a day one star but signings like this are equally important so I really hope all this noise means he’s arriving imminently.

Far from it. A young lad with Championship experience and lots of potential in a position he can learn from some quality professionals (Son and Lucas, and Kane). Very exciting

Sounds like when we were signing Dele. He turned up and everyone was amazed how good he was in training, and as they say, the rest is history.
Edit: I see it’s already been mentioned. Oh well, I agree. Let’s hope he has a similar impact.
