his English is pretty bad after 6 1/2 years in the UK.
Sounds like bye bye Eriksen.

He wouldn’t be adored at PSG, he needs a big personality like Neymar and Mbappe for that. 99% of their fans are plastics even in FranceJust had a debate with my mate about PSG and. What it offers someone like Eriksen. From my point of view I thought he oils get a nice pay rise, will win league titles and will be adored there especially after Neymar leaves. I get it but I still don’t think quality wise he is leaving off Everett if this is the case.

,POBut Ron told us Poch doesn’t even like Eriksen?

DTX,Poch is the most political of all Spurs Managers, using his ' iffy' English to say what he wants to say. Have you notices he often contradicts himself a lot and talks but most of the time says nothing (I do think his book was straight up but that was after the fact or what his dreams are)
What do you expect him to say about Eriksen. We own him for the next year. He probably would take him back if we couldnt get big money for him,but Eriksen is not protecting Tottenham in any way,he is protecting his own arse (Which I think is fair going for Eriksen) but Pochs view on loyalty is on a higher plane I think
Disagree with the above. I know he has said he wants to go but he has also said he will consider a new contract if not. This makes this quite a unique situation as he has made his intentions clear but is not agitating beyond that
We need resolution on this asap - sign up or go. If he's hearts not in it then we should not be so tough and just get best possible price for him - without scaring any prospective buyer away.
He will be free to discuss and agree a contract with overseas clubs in 4/5 months time anyway so key is to get this resolved. I'd rather take 40/50M now than see him half committed this season and then walking away for nowt next summer.

I can't see how we can force this issue at all tbh. It's fairly precarious due to that contract length and the freedom to discuss free transfer overseas, as you mention.
You'd hope that the very good relationship Poch and Eriksen have would mean that Eriksen wouldn't string us along or leave the manager in the lurch, and in all honesty i'd be surprised if Poch didn't have a strong indication about what Eriksen is likely to do by now. Eriksen isn't Sol so i can't see him being anything other than honest.
If Poch genuinely wants him to stay then i think we can only give Eriksen two choices, either a) go this window or b) stay and sign new contract and be prepared to honour it. But if interest in him isn't from the clubs he had hoped to join and if Poch sees a near future for us without Eriksen then perhaps a 3rd option could be stay, sign new contract, but have a clause stating we will accept a £Xm bid from either Real or Barca for him during that contract.
The big thing is for Levy to have every angle covered regardless of what Eriksen decides.
The only way Eriksen signs a new deal with us is if RM tell him flat out that they don't want him now, and they won't want him for free next year either. They won't do that and we have no leverage at all other than telling him we're sticking him on the bench for a year if he doesn't sign. That would finish him and Poch and guarantee him leaving for free and I can't see Poch doing that or Levy sanctioning it. I think he'll run his contract out and will only sign a new one for us if RM don't come sniffing then. Tough for us, especially with Toby's situation as well but it's the way modern football works. I think it's RM or nothing for Eriksen and they won't shell 40-50m for one season.
I agree on the two options as mentioned but I'd hate that the option of going doesn't take place because of a ridiculous price tag. If you're Juve for example why would you pay crazy amounts now when you could agree for nothing in a few months time for next summer. Given his performances since Christmas where the contract situation was clearly playing on his mind, I wouldn't expect great things from him this coming season without signing a new contract.
Bold move, but we could act like a big club and sign Lo Celso.
Tell Eriksen he's 2nd choice unless he signs a new deal, because we can only build the future around committed players.
Poch wouldn't have to compromise his philosophy, seems fair in the eyes of the squad, and the pressure is on Eriksen to commit or go.
I understand the numbers might not work, but our only leverage here is playing time.
Yeah, I can't see us choosing to not sign anyone and allow the potential risk of RM finally stepping up and bidding for Eriksen once our window has closed.I think we'll sign LoCelso regardless of what the Eriksen situation is (and ITK have said as much). CE would then have some real competition and he'd really have to pull his finger out to get on the pitch. I'd be surprised if this wasn't Poch's plan all along once it became clear that Eriksen would string us along waiting for RM to come knocking. As it stands, RM don't seem too fussed and may not want him next year either if he can't nail down a spot with us. I still think he'll run his contract out though, at which point his best option might to be to sign a new one with us.
Better than Bale's Spanishhis English is pretty bad after 6 1/2 years in the UK.
