Ndombele's vertical passing gives us penetration from CM that we haven't had since Modric

I would agree so why didn't Levy/Poch strengthen it?

Good question. If Trippier was playing today the knives would already be out. I’m not suggesting that we should start slating KWP, but we haven’t upgraded there. We’ve simply reduced our depth there by selling Trippier and not replacing.

KWP is not and will not be the only full back who struggles against City. Give the kid a break and the time to grow and learn.

When Lo Celso and Sessegnon are up and running, and Son is available, with Foyth and Alli not far behind we’ll be a completely different kettle of fish. Sadly any aspirations of challenging City and Liverpool will be a distant memory by then. These teams are prepared, ruthless and don’t drop points, especially not due to a poor performance.

I know City are great but we just don't look right. Neville is right, physically and tactically we aren't at it.
