I think this is likely too, but won’t shocked too see a 442 as that’s basically what we’ve been playing and he likes Son with chalk on his boots, then Lucas playing off Harry and Bergwijn as a slightly tucked in RW.
I'd be interested to see that formation for sure, but I'd love to see it with Harry and Sonny partnered up top. We're not getting the most out of Son when he has to do the yeoman's work on the left touchline, we need a player of his goalscoring prowess in and around the box. Bergwijn out left, Lucas right, and Kane and Son in a classic hold up man/pace merchant strike partnership could be a joy to behold.

Nice little interaction between Wilder and Mourinho there caught on camera. Lip reading Wilder asks Jose if he’s coming for a drink, you can’t see Mourinho’s answer as his back is to the camera but Wilder says “good man”. So I expect they’re having a beer before the match. I thought that thing didn’t really go on nowadays between managers but it’s nice to see.

Kane and Lo Celso ;)
Massively on Gio’s shoulders.

In any case, I’m hoping we can play with a the level of confidence we showed once we took the lead against West Ham. Sheffield Utd looking a shadow of the team earlier this season so let’s go for the kill.

The desire shown today will tell me whether this group of players believe they can still obtain CL football or not.

Weird team selction. No idea how that front 4 is expected to work and just have to hope Lo Celso and Sissoko have had about 20 weetabix.

That would make sense. I think Bergwijn's favourite position is on the left so it would suit him well, along with getting Son closer to goal.

Predictable pre-match Liverpool wank fest on Sky, they did find time to say Dele won't be happy being a squad player though o_O

How I miss the days when we actually had a midfield and played some nice possession football.

Hope we don't waste too many chances and defensively they continue to look solid as a unit. Tough job for their defenders having to deal with Bergwijn, Lucas, Son and Kane and then some guys on the bench like Dele, Lamela etc.

Cant really complain about the line up, consistent and a lot of potential pace up top. Lamela probably unlucky to miss out again but not sure who he would replace at this point.

You could say Lamela is more deserving than Lucas, but I like Lamela in a super-sub role. He routinely changes games when he comes on as a substitute, and it's a good way of managing his fitness through this busy period. He can be a real game-changer for us off the bench for the rest of the season IMO.

No one can accuse kane of not having pace around him with this line up

You know you’re on Sky sports when the build up to Sheff Utd vs Spurs is Jamie Carragher interviewing Mo Salah. Fucking hell.

I think we will play 4-2-3-1 with Bergwijn centrally, he’s played there for PSV before

He’s quick and a good dribbler but also a good passer, he can make those through balls

That attacking unit is obviously capable of getting the job done, is a bit samey for my liking though and would have preferred to have one of the pace options coming on from the bench. You never know how a 90 minutes will proceed, there might be the need for consistent threat and pace on the counter and all three of Son, Moura, and Bergwijn have a habit of dying on their arse and needing to be subbed by 60-70 mins and we'll have less counter threat option when that happens.

But we shall see...
