Weren’t you saying similar things about our manager up till recently?

Ermm I criticised Jose after the LASK game. And although I’m not 100% convinced of Jose he
1) One 3 trophies with United. I think he’s time at United was overrated but we could still see his highs, Bale has been like this for 3 seasons now

2) Jose has changed/made stuff I found positive. Like the Ndombele situation, how we play against the top 6 teams etc. He’s proven me wrong in some things. Bale has barely impressed in 1 game so far this season and he proved me wrong when I said he was finished when he was at Real

Good professional performance. Completely dominated and some quality performances from a couple of lads that we needed it from, namely Gio and Sanchez.

Love this winning feeling.

Top of the league and through in all trophies. If you aren’t happy with that, Hargreaves was right, football ain’t for you.

The narrative around us is fucking weird. I can’t remember another team having to go through this nonsense in the modern day.

Utd did, basically anyone that's managed by Jose - people just love to force the narrative, just like when people say he's upsetting the players or something like that just because it's what Jose does...don't worry we have the 3rd season meltdown to look forward to

Job done, top of the group, top of the table.

I've had my misgivings about Jose, but he has us performing. If we can't enjoy the good times then I hate to see what this place is going to be like when we go through a rough patch.

Stop looking for things to moan about and enjoy the progress we are making.

Good job done in the end.
Group stage hasn't been vintage stuff, and certainly frustrating at times. A bit disappointed some of the fringe players haven't given Mourinho more to think about, when given the chance. But the goal was to top the group, and that's what they've done......COYS!!

Because he's not. Maybe his form has eluded him. But to say he's finished is just an over the top and premature write off.

29 games, 5 goals, 2 assists since last season playing for 2 good teams in us and Real and most of the games has been against easier teams

He ha played like this for 2-3 seasons now. He doesn’t score anywhere near enough, doesn’t create much, doesn’t dribble much, barely helps the defence, has lost his pace

He’s finished

Glenn’s forgotten our 2x title challenges a couple of seasons back...
Shhhh... We don’t speak of that.

Steady performance. Thought the back 4 did well enough, GLC excellent but Winks was non existent(disappointing). Front players need more game time, were all trying stuff but couldn't get the right rhythm going. I think if either Bale or Vini were playing in the regular side we'd see a more with form players around them..

They had Pogba, who I used to really enjoy at Juve, but he really isn't a calm influence on the team

One things for sure, Jose REALLY wanted to win the group. Obviously so do the rest of the fans, players, etc., but he didn’t hold back with his changes.

United were not even hitting the heights like we did, other than the Europa Cup win. And add in the hate for us, you have the perfect recipe of sensationalised media pieces from pundits and journalists.

Lo celso was magnificent, but bergwijn really impressed me too with his determination (and success) to beat his man whenever he got the ball. This is the player I’ve seen first hand for psv and at the beginning of his time here. It’s forgotten he’s still one of the most talented wide men in Europe, and it’s why I was so excited when we signed him.

That's him, all over - he just wants to win, he wants to send out messages - this is how he builds mentality in his teams, he'll do anything to win at all costs no matter the competition and our players need to learn the same.
