I just want to enjoy spurs again.

Barring a few games I've hated it. The football has been pisspoor so when the results take a downturn its impossible to stomach.

I'm bored, every game I find myself looking at my phone. Spurs used to be an adrenaline rush now its a chore .

He could turn it round I guess but he looks a shadow of his former self.

It comes down to two things I guess. If you believe that old special one is still in there i can see why you believe he needs more time and the players need to buck up.

If you don't then it feels like were wasting out time whilst watching terrible football.

Never been a fan, horrified when we were linked with him and mortified when we got him.
It's been a chore and pain watching us since he's been here

However I don't want him sacked at the moment, I wanna see how he performs in Europa knockout football

Bah, I'm not worried, for now. February would have to go really, really shit for Mourinho to be out this month. I'm talking losing EL kind of shit.
When the players start kicking off to the chairman in numbers, the writings on the wall. Results won't keep him his job if the players aren't on board.

Personally I'm really hoping he gets them all in today and they sort it out, but I've seen this before and not just with us. I'm yet to see it end in the managers favour.

Son has literally been propelled to the top 5 players in the league this season, Kane was always one of them but he's cemented himself in the top 3 in the league world now. Jose said he could make him explode. Kanes stock has never been higher.

Klopp was given a year and a half to work through issues. Arteta has been given time to work through issues. OGS is a bit of a different scenario but he has worked through issues. You could argue the level of the squad (arsenal) or the fact they were still early in their tenures (arsenal, pool) are different than our scenario but for a manager to not be given 2 summers to mould the team in his image is something I’m skeptical about, especially as this isn’t a disaster. We’re not in 15th like arsenal were, and we weren’t languishing in mid table like pool were after klopps first season. Arteta has gotten arsenal back on track, klopp was able to slowly build his squad and slowly improve. Yes, they were working with less quality than what we have, but sacking someone now would be a bit premature I think. Two massive clubs (doesn’t mean I don’t hate arsenal) and they’ve been patient. Our manager isn’t here to build for the long term, but he has us in position to win a trophy at the first attempt with some of his players, and were still in the other 2 as well. While I don’t see Jose as the answer maybe even beyond this season, as I do think we need more of a rebuild than a final step, getting rid of him before he even has a chance to achieve what he’s here for doesn’t make sense. Don’t we all want trophies? Some may say that it’s not worth the football, but deep down if you aren’t desperate for a trophy, than what’s the point of football? What’s the point of playing the 60 matches each year? Expectations are obviously different at lesser clubs, but for where we are, the only thing we’ve been missing is a trophy the past 13 years. If there is one manager I’d trust to win a one-off cup final in world football, it’s the man in charge right now. Unless we somehow fall down the table a lot (like a massive free fall), I’d be upset if the man in charge doesn’t even get a chance to do what he does best. After the season, trophy or no trophy, he can go if the domestic results continue to falter, as I don’t think we have the resources to really provide Jose with what he needs to be more than what we are with the way he wants to play especially in the current climate. And I do believe CL is important to continue the growth of the club. But for me, he needs to be the one in charge of the cup final, unless there is a massive implosion.
I wanted Villas-Boas to be given more time. I wanted Pochettino to be given more time. I don't actually want Mourinho to be given more time just for the sake of it. I don't. I see no value in sticking with him just because. We won't win any cup final however minor, the way things are right now. We can't even shoot at goal, how are we supposed to win a trophy? I do not desire to ride it out just because it seems like the moral high grounds.

I disagree with the first line but respect the past line a lot.

A selection of Spurs fans have just added bottles of Moet to their click and collect grocery orders after reading this post.

Misery won't stop once they do what you want. It's fine not to want him to be at the helm of this any more, expecting it to be any better after he's gone with the state of the playing squad and the ramifications it has is just burying heads in sand.

Mourinho's sacking will appease fans short term until they then see what happens after his failure is cut short. Opens up pandoras box for me. I'm not looking forward to any of this.
Not dismissing the fact we need a large scale overhaul, the very same overhaul our previous manager was crying out for. But this current manager is not the man to oversee that or even lobby for that.

Mourinho is a dick, is pissing off not only the fans but now the players... so yes I'd be happy to see him out. But I'm not a champagne guy myself. More of a cabernet type, maybe a tequila shot.

This is definitely the feeling that im getting now. This season is even worse for it as usually youd be able to have a nice little break from it as we'd go 7 - 9 days between games, as it is now its every 3-4 days that im having to set up the laptop and sit through 90 minutes of boredom now that the anger stage has left me.

Overall i just feel sad, it seemed a few years ago we had a plan, a bright future and a club we could be proud of. For me now we've regressed as far back as the Sherwood days where i have a genuine dislike for certain players which isnt fair as i know they try their best but ive just seen way too many times over the past 3 years that Davies, Sissoko's, Lamela and Lucas just arent good enough.

I understand, and you are correct, but I'm also of the personal opinion that there contractually would be better if there's a result based argument for the termination. Such a possible result based argument would be a disastrous month of February. Not only poor, but truly bad. I noticed you mentioned the last manager change in 2019. That was a different situation, that time it was simmering for months. You said yourself you wrote about it here in September. I posted about the writing on the wall at that time too (after the Newcastle match to be specific). Yet it took 3 months more to actually come to pass. This is escalating much more quickly, I grant you, but there must be that ultimate result based situation before Mourinho goes, must it not?

Really sad state of affairs to be honest. Unfortunately Jose is the worst person that this can happen to as you know his reaction will be to send an even bigger F-YOU to the players and turn it even more toxic before he gets his inevitable pay off.

So the players are revolting against him. That Liverpool game HT must have been super bad

Jose picked a fight (just or not) with 2 very popular figures in the dressing room in Dele & Aurier.
