My view is Jose coached us to counter-attack. Now that we dont have Kane we struggle to hit teams on the counter, so both Brighton and Chelsea are playing the right thing by pressing us.

We try to playing more pro-actively (2nd half in Brighton and also 2nd half vs Chelsea, now) but you can't uncoach the above and get into 'pro-active football' mode over 2 weeks, and that's even before accounting for the lack of quality in this side to play that type of football.

Chelsea can dictate possession because they are BOTH coached that way and have a good CM combination; Jorginho + Kovacic are a great pivot for poession. Hardly loses the ball and perfect for this game. They didn't even have to put Kante on, because they dont see the need for someone to do ball-recovery.

I'm not rying to find an excuse for Jose; I too hope that he could coach us better, at least not so one-dimensional. but fact of the matter is if as an attacker you've been asked to play a certain way and position yourself accordingly, its hard to adjust when the coach asks for something different without having prepared you to do so.

But it’s Jose’s fault. Laughable that Levy got a manager of his stature in a gave him a bunch of players we couldn’t even give away.

We avarage about 1 decent attack every 3 games. It's spectacular how awful we are going forward.

Dier is not good enough. Its simply that.

He'd have rid himself of these mistakes and performances by now if he was going to be tip top
