I'm longing for the day when people realise this isn't an actual tactic.
That's the problem though, isn't it? We drop off massively after the break more often than not.

When we can’t keep the ball, we can’t prevent the opposition from scoring. This has been a theme, match after match. We go through these 10 minute periods where we repeatedly cough up possession and it nearly always leads to conceding a goal.
The defence does not deal well with sustained pressure. It’s not clear why. It was a very good goal, although Benteke had too much space, but the underlying issue is that we concede these chaotic periods of losing the ball and giving it back as soon as we win it, which puts the defence under pressure when they aren’t set.
Result: conceding a goal, nearly every time.

Well, we are doing it again. Something is fundamentally wrong with the mentality or the set up.
1-0 up and you've got the opportunity to make things easier for yourselves in the second half. Nope. Allow the opposition to gain a foothold and get at you more.
This is why I wasn't overly praising the Fulham performance because it's not happening in isolation, it's happening almost every game, we can't keep dropping off like this and expecting to contain teams.

Bale was trying to break up the other end. The turn over of play caught us out. Lucas at fault for that one imo, he’s been our best player so far but losing the ball twice there has really cost us.

Completely unnecessary as well. He was going nowhere with two men on him and winks dives in. He's not done too much wrong first half, but his decision making at times is absurd.

We’re really not that hard to play against. Just keep putting the ball in our box and a goal will come. There’s no way we’d have absorbed pressure in the way Palace have. Yes, they conceded, but generally they’re quite happy to let us have the ball. Whereas, we’re so unbelievably awful when teams come at us

We've been the better team, not too worried.
I do wonder what's going on with Doherty though, he hasn't been terrible this game but he's yet to have a good game in a spurs shirt. Maybe it was the Covid or maybe Wolves' system hid his sins somewhat but he's nowhere near the quality we need, not even as backup.
