Will be weird to see what impact this has on the premier league.

Most of it i watch is us or rivals for the European spots.

Guess I'll be watching a lot less premier league...

what does this mean for the Euro's? We will find out quickly how serious FIFA and UEFA are about player bans.

Its good that we create our own little meaningless bubble league and get kicked out of the PL, the UEFA comps, and our players may not be able to play for their countries?

I can't see how that's good for anyone, least of all fans.

ENIC will make a fucking fortune though. Yay.

You really think the lawyers of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City, and even Daniel Levy, haven’t already looked into this in the most intrinsic of detail?

I honestly don't know what to think about this. My passion for watching football has been drying up watching Jose ball and just all the shit that's gone down in the real world anyway. So I'm just not in a place right now to care as much as I probably would normally.

I get why we've done it, we're probably fucked financially at the moment and we're at a point where we could easily tumble down the football ladder again without change. These are also the biggest clubs in the world and we are pretty obviously the smallest out of the 12. If we turned down the offer the chances are it would only be to our detriment and whilst a few people might give us credit it would all quickly be forgotten if this all goes ahead as planned. Then 5 years down the line people would probably be laughing at us for turning down the chance to become a "super club". There's also not much chance of it blowing up in our face from a legal/financial point of view as the other clubs involved are massive and it doesn't seem reasonable that they could lose.

However this is pretty obviously bad for the sport as a whole, reducing competition, killing the novelty of the CL and just generally being shit for fans. Fuck knows what will happen, when you step back though it all feels a bit inevitable as football is all about money these days. The fact that CL qualification is considered so important monetarily wise these days kind of proves that.

We have watched as rivals have been taken over, whipped out the cheque books and bought the best players whilst we have been unsuccessful, made into a meme of a club (spursy) and had our best players leave. We will never be anything going the way we have. Loads of people have wanted ENIC out and a takeover to happen but the minute a SL is announced meaning the CL looks like its getting killed off, we get acknowledged as a huge club and get loads of money...suddenly we are souless and people dont want to continue their support. Absolutely baffles me.

Does that mean 10 more tier A games will be added to ticket costs. How's anyone going to afford all that...

We want to earn our place among the elite not have it handed to us on a silver platter. Where is the competitive urge all of a sudden?

When the bubble bursts, every single club in this shit will be fucked. The yanks will pull the investment leaving huge spending and debt.

So does this mean the founding clubs have completely turned their back on UEFA and the Champions League? No turning back. Wow.
Not quite yet, I think. That Association basically represents clubs' interests when it comes to UEFA. But yeah it's a step in that direction.
