Absolutely fair fucking play to Levy, we were all calling for transfers to try and become one of the elite on sporting merit but the little guy knew, he absolutely knew it was to become completely irrelevant when it pertains to what it takes to become a top team.

Other thing I've not seen yet are that groups are Home and Away i.e. for now ruling out games abroad, but also meaning a minimum of 18 games each season and a maximum of 25. That just fits in with 38 Premier League games for a maximum of 63, but not with the FA Cup which even with replays would bring that to 69. So we're either going to withdraw from the FA Cup, try to blackmail the PL into reducing down to 16 or 18 teams to free up space, or the most radical option is that the Super League plans to fuck off FIFA, set up their own internationals, and play fewer of them to facilitate more club football.

Also brings in ticket pricing questions. If you try to add between 9 and 12 more Cat A games every season at current prices I think you will end up struggling to sell quite often and potentially losing ST holders. Cue optimistic ratings but I think there'll have to be price reductions somewhere to avoid that.

Will anyone still follow the club? Be brutally honest.
Yes, but I won't watch any other games in the "competition" and I won't have the same excitement or anticipation for any of the matches, or get the same pleasure from winning. Wouldn't surprise me if stopped watching in a couple of years.

I'd imagine bans would kick in from 2021/2022 season, so Euros ok?

I can see UEFA kicking teams out but no chance the FA and Premier League can do the same. Their hands are tied.
Soooo what happens when City, Pool, Us, Utd, Scum or other scum nicks all top spots in the league? Who gets to play CL footie? :cautious:

Dont think they realise they face financial oblivion if the 'big 6' are kicked out of the PL. Which is what they seem to be holding on to.
The league will survive without the big six. Even if it ends up a little differently. You have to match the arrogance of these clubs with more than just threats.

Will be weird to see what impact this has on the premier league.

Most of it i watch is us or rivals for the European spots.

Guess I'll be watching a lot less premier league...
Apparently the teams can still participate in national leagues so if they can, then either teams like Leicester,Everton ,Hammers, Wolves can finish in 7th-10th place and qualify for the Chempions League. Alternatively, it could mark the end of the Champions League,Europa League. Well, Eufa are bloody corrupt anyway.

This is going to generate annual amounts comfortably over £100m, while the UEFA competitions will become an unfunny joke with sod-all revenue. As for redistributing money that could happen, but with the Big 6 all voting against would need an unanimous vote from the others - and the 6 would inevitably threaten to leave entirely (which would have to be taken seriously now) if it was too radical.

That's not true.

You'll still have:

Bayern, dortmund, psg, leipzig, ajax, porto plus loads of other decent teams, that have a large following and may even get a larger following if the sl is heavily sanctioned.

No idea mate. I think it would be the next best team outside is invited?

5 invitational spots - 5 countries involved. So next best of England, Spain, Italy, Germany and Portugal (if porto do join) invited?

Its a mess.

I wonder how this will play out from here. FA, UEFA and FIFA making big threats, can they possibly back them up? Will Sky/BT be at all happy if the big clubs are banned from the premier league? Will broadcasters the world over be happy if fifa ban the likes of Kane, Messi, Mbappe etc from competing in the Euros and World Cup?

This is horrible but it’s going to be fascinating.

Mbappe plays for PSG.

Who, I note, are not involved.

Which is hilarious

This. It's a terrible idea but it'll be highly entertaining to see it all play out, most likely in the most catastrophic manner possible.

Because it undermines the league structure. Seriously, how do you think you'd be feeling if we weren't in the deal?

I am praying that the league kicks out the clubs. If they don't the League system is completely fucked as well.

I'd feel extremely shit of we weren't involved which is why I'm happy we are involved
