For the love of god, please just let this game end the chapter and let's get the big rebuild underway. Sick to death of this current squad.

People say don’t blame Mason and I get it but the changes made or rather not made were just so poor .

However the one constant in all of this is ENIC and Levy. One trophy in 30 years 20 of which they have been the owners is an absolute farce.

For some of these players to eventually leave Spurs having won nothing is just unforgivable.

They’re an exceptional team, incredible players and squad because of all their millions and one of if not the greatest managers of all time who is an absolute genius.

We had very little chance.

That being said bit disappointed that we only had 2 shots and that bale didn’t start. I know he’s very inexperienced etc but think Mason got that line-up/tactics a bit wrong as I’ve never seen us quite so dominated. Don’t think it would’ve been much better under Jose tbh but we will never know.

We are a mess of a club right now.

I thought our defence was absolutely outstanding(minus reggi who had a shocker), Hugo toby Dier aurier absolutely brilliant.
If we are not expected to win, why not just go out and play with Bale, Ndombele, Lamela, Dele, Bergwijn. Give it a fucking go. Losing 1-0 today in such a flacid manner is worse than us playing with some hope going forward with our attacking talents and lost 5-0. Makes no difference in a cup game. This is what pissed me so much.

I said before the game we had better win this because Mason will not be spared from the decisions he made in the lineup. His subs made it even worse. The players we had in Ndombele and Lamela sitting on the bench and yet the two donkeys of Winks and Sissoko were playing. Unforgivable.

This morning's Leeds-Manure nil-nil draw was much more entertaining. Talk about BRAVE: Leeds is incredibly fit and never stops trying.

Maybe I should support them for a while.

Still disagree. The squad is a way down on poch’s teams but a decent manager would have us in the top 4 this season. We’ve thrown away so many points through Jose’s negativity - if we were even just bad with a lead this year instead of historically awful we’d be top 4 now
Can't wait for the same line of reasoning after we sack the next manager and blame it all on him.

love levy. Poch who told the truth, gave us something to cheer for building from nothing, levy chose not to trust him because of his arrogance. Poch sacked.

Hires in his words, “ one of the two top top managers in the world”, gets royally fuck. Sack him days before finals. Gets fucked again.

Levy’s decision making is the epitome of spurs, just like our attack

Those last 30 minutes were absolutely made for Ndombele to come on and make an impact. With the game more stretched he'd have been turning the City defenders inside out, potentially getting off a counter attack or two and winning free kicks in dangerous areas (always our best hope). A part of me was actually thinking Ryan might have pulled off a mini-masterstroke in waiting to unleash Bale and Tanguy late on....but then came Sissoko :banghead:

Honestly think that cowardly choice of sub killed it for us. Ended what little hope we had of the nicking the game. At the time of game most ripe for counters, just how are you expecting us to transition quickly from defence to attack with a midfield of PEH, Winks and Sissoko?? Utterly bemusing and disappointing. :poop:
The game wasn't stretched. Man City rarely let games get stretched.

Welp, I'm not gonna argue that City were the better team. Even when we started playing well in the second half they had us contained and in positions where we could do limited harm.

I will however say that Paul Tierney won this game for them by not sending off Laporte. Would Laporte have made a second foul if he was already on a yellow?? Maybe not. However we do know that he made two identical fouls that should've had identical punishments and that should be made a fuss out of. Mason would be within his rights to bring it up and as he's not gonna be the head coach next year he'd be alright to take the fine.

Any potential manager looking at our players would run a mile. Not one winner amongst them. JN, BR etc would have no interest in managing this lot.
We need leaders. A few people can make a big difference, most of any squad are followers and will take on the group personality. They don’t even have to be the best players in the team, just characters who will demand more.

I'm not going to put this on Mason. FFS it's probably only the second game he's managed in an actual stadium. This is on the players. When you get picked to start in a final, whether you are Harry Kane or Harry fucking Winks, you leave nothing on the pitch. Nothing. I've seen players more pumped for the McMullen League Junior cup final at Ware Town than Spurs were today.

What the fuck has happened to this team? At the end of November we were comfortably beating City and Arsenal 2-0 and top of the league playing some of the best football in the least three years. And it ends like this?

We played no football in those matches. We had Kane and Son on fire but hardly had a touch otherwise. City were in awful form and Arsenal were and are rubbish. Please get at least something right. Just go and have a cold shower before spouting absolute garbage
