Agree but he is still better than winks and Sissoko. Obviously we need a better player but he is the least of our worries

Honestly this is why for me he might be one of the most overrated players we've ever signed.

I like Hojbjerg, I appreciate he gives 100% no matter what and in a season like this, that is the most important metric but in terms of footballing ability, we overstate how good he is so much. He is a competent sitting midfielder, I reckon Skipp will cause him problems in the starting 11 by the end of next season.

Everyone looks bad when the team is like this. He should have stopped the goal as that was his job on the line

thought so too. whats the point of committing yourself to defending the far post and then not being able to reach the ball?

For 12m? Easily one of the best bargain of season.
He was a good signing and I dread to think what state we’d be in without him.
but he’s far from exceptional on the ball and it’s a shame we had to sacrifice kwp to bring him in.
Love his determination and leadership though

I'm saying that there is a reason why the big clubs didn't twitch when he became available snd that's because he is below the quality they require and that is obviously evident
Still, it doesn't say anything. He was available this summer and to be honest other "big clubs" weren't looking at players in his position.

Hojbjerg has been one of our best and most consistent players this season. I think having Skipp next season will be really good for him, although I actually think Skipp will be a better player.

He's got more and more negative as the season has progressed.

He's a much better player than he's been showing lately. The squad's confidence is shot.

This place is hilarious, every player is either world class or total shit, no middle ground of any kind. Some of them, like in the case of Hojbjerg, have amazingly been rated both of these things in the same season.

Anyway next up on 'World Class or Shit: Roulette' young Oliver Skipp

Yeah, I really don't understand him being the target of much abuse today.

Agree. His form hasn’t been as good lately as it was for the first few months but he’s played almost every minute of every game in a team where he’s had to do the work of 2 or 3 people throughout the season.

I think he’s top of the stats for tackles won in the PL this season (I’m sure I saw that stat on SSN) which means he’s doing the exact thing we bought him for and he’s doing it really well. Win the ball and simple pass. It’s not his fault everyone else is a bit shit this year.

He’s not very creative and can’t shoot for shit but that’s not his game. With that said, he should’ve cut in and scored yesterday because he’s a professional footballer and they should be able to do things like that. But to single him out is very weird for me, he’s been consistent and dynamic for us and has broken up opposition play numerous amounts of times throughout the season. The comparison to Freund is amusing but should only be for fist bumps and angry faces because the difference in quality between the 2 is ridiculously massive.
