Good interchanges, quick touches and lots of excellent movement. That's how a coached side should look.

Bale would be hitting 15+ goals if he hadn't been shamelessly sidelined.

I hope the new coach wants him because he's that extra quality you need to win games. Three chances, three goals.

Real_madyidd you gave me a 'wtf' to my comment that neither Bergwijn or Lo Celso are goal scorrers and Ive watched them closely over months and seen then get in goal scoring positions several times and fluffed. So whats your argument other wise, do you have one?

And that’s why U play bale?, if Kane or son has an off game then it’s rare all 3 will. At least 1 of them will score and defenders worked out to stop the Kane through ball to Son.

We played a lot of slow football but then just strung together 3-4 passes and cut through them. It was very nice to see, even if at times you felt that we hesitated to go forwards at times when they looked open.

Watched Harry winks exclusively as much as possible in the last 20 minutes. Absolutely rubbish, worthless safe passing, no movement, didn't show for the ball a few occasions.

the only neg in an otherwise great game, he honestly made me angry. One of the few things Jose got right

anyway good game, Aurier was excellent again. Bale obviously motm

Good performance, was nice to watch it.

Sheffield was absolute shocking though. Lets see if we can keep it up.

And: We NEED to keep Bale.

Jose should hold his head in shame. The players are free and looking good. Kane had a weird night. We were brilliant winning the ball back . Well done tonight to every player.

I'm not saying we're world beaters now and I know it was "only" Sheffield United but all this talk about Jose not being responsible whatsoever is and was always total bollocks. All Mason is doing is playing to our strengths, something Mourinho consistently strayed away from.

A thoroughly enjoyable game and a great performance overall despite the quality of the opposition tonight. We played with some proper swag with great movement both on and off the ball, ambitious passes and some real drive going forward.

A brilliant Bale aside, Mason deserves some real credit for this performance.

But that is not true, people like you who dislike Winks dislike him regardless of what he does, you go into the game hating him just waiting for any opportunity to pounce. its embarrassing.
No I don’t. And if you checked back on my posts you would see I have been critical but also gave him credit for being our best performer in the Champions League Final.

I just recognise he is not good enough for where we are currently, let alone where we aspire to be. What does he actually “do” (as you say) that warrants a place in the team?

He isn’t a holding midfield, lacks physicality and doesn’t track runners, has no creative game as demonstrated by his miserable chance created, assist and goals record. He was supposed to be a “good lad” but it’s been widely reported that he had been disruptive in the background. Just because he came through our system shouldn’t give him any special protection, otherwise our CM would have been fixed by O’Hara.

Have you forgotten his masterclass in the FA Cup?

The fact that you try to make things personal with you “people like you” comment is also pretty poor.

Lol - the image of you scanning furiously across the Sky coverage for any sight of Winks, your face getting redder and redder with your impotent futile rage at Spurs squad player as he helps see out a four goal win.

Odd man odd.

This is what Bale was brought to the club for, it's criminal that Jose deemed him not good enough , why? Because he doesn't track back , how the fuck was this allowed to happen.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, crisp passing, pace, movement, possession, building from the back but varying stuff and looking like we had a game plan. We actually started to resemble ourselves out there. Been a while.
