It's fair to say that in his recent outings than Ndombele has not been at it, I think he's been pretty good majority of season but still not to the standard we hope. I'm not thrilled that Mason has dropped him but you can't argue with the performances of the midfield and forwards who started the game today.

All I hope is that Mason has a word with Ndombele directly and tells him what he expects in training for him to get back in the team.

Nice enjoyable win but if he starts that midfield against Leeds we'll get run over, great to see Bale finish like that and he has the best goals per minutes ratio in the premiership this season!
Anyone else think Kane looked a bit disinterested tonight?

Win 4-0 in an utterly dominant performance and half the board are wailing about the team selection.

Amazing.

I’d like to see Ndombele rotated with Dele in the number 10 role. He excelled there earlier in the season.

Irregardless, I’d still play Ndombele over Winks in a double pivot every day of the week. Can’t wrap my mind around Mason’s decision to play him over Ndombele.
Oh yea why winks started I’ll never know

Nice little bonus that again before the end of the season. Wasn't always perfect, yes the opposition were dog muck, but another performance with some pressing and passing (which we've been told repeatedly we simply couldn't do.....), some freedom and flair, and some well taken goals as the cherry on top. The 3rd was particularly good - proper team goal, pass and move from back to front.

Four more to go to see what we can salvage out of this season.

Yeah, I was thinking that, too.

Dele started today because he's clearly shown more in training than Ndomble - a player who has the skill set to be the best midfielder in the world. The issue here is not Dele, not Mason but Tanguy Ndombele's apparent desire to piss all his talent up a wall. It's a crying shame.
Is this just speculation or do you have some direct line to the inner workings and happenings at Tottenham? I think the former!

Yeah winks has been full of drive and effort this season.

Are you saying definitively (ie: with inside knowledge) that Harry Winks hasn't been training harder than, say, Ndombele - a player with 100 times the natural ability of Winks?

If so what is Mason's motive in playing him over Ndombele?

Um... I've read what Ryan Mason had to say about it?

“Dele Alli had an excellent attitude. He trained his way into the team. He had a really good training week. He gave 100% and had some moments.

On Dele Alli: "He had an excellent training week and I had to reward it. The players felt it too. He had that edge. Considering he hadn’t started a Premier League game for some time his fitness levels and attiutde was fantastic."

I guess Mason could be lying. Do you think he's lying?

And yet not one player got their own back on Fleck?! These players are clever enough to foul someone that it will hurt (hurt is different than injure) oppo player but not be a red. Genuinely surprised none of them did. They are cute enough to do it without getting a red.

I thought Lamela tried to?

Probably not worth taking that risk for a game we were winning comfortably regardless, especially with VAR involved.

What a nice feeling to win and win well. 4 good goals and plenty of nice front foot football. Hat-trick for Bale after a couple of near misses.

Yes it was only Sheffield Utd but that was their 2nd biggest defeat of the season and we've had plenty of issues with bottom half opposition at times this season.

Just wishing Levy bit the bullet sooner with Jose. If we had I think we'd be even closer to (or even in) the top 4.
