Kane has the ability to unilaterally terminate the contract after 3 years and pay a fee set by FIFA based on wages owed and previous transfer fees of the player. In Kane’s case that is roughly £36m plus a little bit of other fees tacked on since he has no prior transfer fees.
Who and when was the last player to do a Webster? As far as I'm aware, Webster has rarely (if ever) been invoked since the initial ruling. Clubs have generally agreed not to take players on a Webster because it is a Pandora's box that scares the fuck out of all of them.
And Harry, more than any other player, is acutely aware of his public image and legacy. Not a chance, IMO, that he plays the Webster card to get out of Spurs on the cheap.
