He’s already hit legendary status with us. If he wins the euros on Sunday he goes down as legendary in English football which he has almost accomplished regardless. This will get the trophy drought off his back as well as he’s just won the second biggest prize in world football which might convince him to stay as he doesn’t have anything to prove anymore.
Pretty sure if he wins the Euros, he’ll get a higher order than MBE as well.

I just hope regardless of result (preferably an England win) that Kane turns up in the final. Its the one question he has to answer, how much can you influence the big games. Would love nothing more than Kane to bag a couple, lift the trophy and get the golden boot.

All this talk about needing trophies to be considered the best is silly

I don’t dispute his desire from a personal perspective - he should be playing for a team that can compete to win -but will anyone worthwhile really think less of him at the end of his career ifhe doesn’t have as many trophies as an Andy Cole or a David May?

jimmy greaves never won the league with us, missed out on the World Cup winners medal and “only” won the FA Cup (x2) and cup winners cup in his career. He’s still considered England’s greatest striker by some distance. Lineker only won the FA Cop once…he’s still considered one of our best

If Harry breaks the records he’s likely to, he’ll rightly be considered one of the greatest irrespective of his trophy cabinet.
Greaves did get a World Cup Winners medal the whole 1966 squad did.

Can’t wait for them to do this with tweets of him wanting to leave and once he signs a new deal with us after Nuno’s tricky Lilywhites get Champions League football next season (and pick up a few pots on the way)
