Do we know where this rumour came from?

So much has happened in the last 12 months I have forgotten!

ITK pretty much confirmed it bud, would never throw shade if it was just press rumor's as I know how often that can be twisted.

Remember the young lad who bossed the game against Real Madrid, what happened?

he bossed the game against Madrid, believed his own hype! got arrogant, and stopped doing the things that made him a good player, also started being a little bitch behind the scenes ( allegedly) .

Because he looks all sweetness and light I guess. That and of course "he's one of our own". Like coming through the academy and being a Spurs fan means you won't do stupid shit like this. It's reserved for foreign types that look moody in training pics.

That's what makes it worse for me the fact he's supposed to support the club and has spent so many years here. He's up there with Hossam Ghally for me, and I can't wait for him to go. At least when Rose did it he owned the situation. At least he was no Marc Anthony.
More Shakespeare references. And they say football is a game for thugs. Love the cultural capital of Spurs Community

This opinion is exactly what's wrong with this thread.

Justifying the little grass's behavior because of Mourinho is laughable. Mourinho fucked up, we all know that.

Doesn't mean you have the right to run like a little rat to the press and mouth off which caused even more instability in the dressing room.

He's just as guilty for any unrest if you ask me.

Nonsense the unrest was caused by the manager absolutely nailed on I was surprised more didn't turn

Hearing all this about Winks makes me wonder about Mason's choice to play him over Tanguy during his time in charge. Mase would surely be aware of anything like that. So would he have chosen Winks over Tanguy just because he didn't want to deal with HW throwing a tantrum?

Because he was his mate and was trying to get the English lads picked for the Euro squad??;)

Then Kane is the biggest rat of them all. Winks supposedly moaning behind the scenes to the press is 100 times less bad than Kane's interview with Neville. Winks moaning about Jose when he'd already mostly lost the dressing room isn't even in the same ballpark as Kane publicly destabilising the team whilst the season is still going on. Especially since one of his supposed best mates was the manager at the time.

Rose was supported by a lot of Spurs fans for "saying it how it is" even though his comments were far more damaging and out right insulting to our new signings.

I can't at all see the justification for the hate for Winks, especially since the only thing he's publicly done is say he wants to be playing more. Which frankly I think is a healthy attitude, I'd be worried if a player was happy not starting.

Such a bad take. Kane's interview wasn't that bad, it was a bit stupid and illjudged but all he said was I'm going to speak to the chairman and see how it goes, he didn't say he wanted to leave. Neville even said afterwards that Kane never said he wanted to leave Spurs. Not to mention he's given us years of world class service.

Winks is a prick. Not only does he not have the talent of Kane's little toe, he was kicking off because Jose wouldn't play him, despite the fact that everytime he played he stunk the place out. His ego is clearly way too big. At a time when we needed players to rally round, he threw the towel in. His performances last season, at places like Everton and in the league cup to can't remember who, when he came on as a sub were the worst performances I can remember from a Spurs player in modern times.

The bloke is a cretin, clearly only in it for himself, and to boot he's shite. I will celebrate when he leaves the club.

Kane knew exactly what he was going. As the last few months have shown.

So? He's not toxic like Winks is.

This is why you lot need to take ITK with a pinch of salt, not base your opinions on it. I’m not doubting the information, or casting aspersions, but some of you are ready to fully despise a person based on what an anonymous person on the internet has told you.

It’s meant to be a bit of fun, but lately a load of posters are using info as an excuse to turn spiteful and vitriolic. The shit about Winks may well be true, but it’s something that is probably unprovable/unfalsifiable - so the hatred he’s getting is a little bit OTT imo.

It’s all opinion. I think Kane’s actions are extremely destabilising - especially given his worth to the team.

Kane has gone to the press and talked about joining another club (both himself personally and via his agent). Winks went to the press and moaned. I think both are shithead moves but treated differently - certainly seems that way.

Imagine being at training not knowing if everything you work towards might be pointless as your best player could be leaving. Imagine trying to form bonds with him knowing he doesn’t really want to be there.

Many people have talked about him being a captain. I think his behaviour has been shocking tbh but he’s cut a lot more slack than Winks on here.

Can anyone remember what Winks' comments to the press were? I don't remember anything particularly destabilising coming out in the media.
