Sorry I'm not kidding I missed what they said and there's over 100 pages here~ Please say or PM meSo...the Sun was spot on, wonder if their price was accurate?
Don't think his behaviour is particularly out of order tbh..
...The one who's messed this up seemingly is his amateur hour agent brother who's leaks to the press etc are straining the relationship with the club, not Kane's behaviour.
Bollocks. Like most people, nowadays, you cannot tell the difference between "opinion" and evidence.Dear David,
This post isn’t meant in a nasty way, but I feel I have to highlight something to you in as kind a way as possible.
I’ve just been scanning through this thread and noticed you’ve criticised at least two people for having an opinion, for hypothesising, for presenting their point in ‘absolute terms’.
Whilst this normally makes me smile and keep going, this time I had to mention something you yourself posted only a couple of hours ago, in this very thread. You wrote;
“The only thing that could reduce it, other than a severe injury, is for him to perform badly next season. It's not in his personality to do that. He's too driven.”
By your own standards, I would ask how do you know what is in Harry Kane’s head, do you know him, have you spoken to him? Do you know how Harry will react if met with a non-compliant Daniel Levy, are you sure his disappointment won’t affect his drive and effort? Maybe you should have used a qualifier such as I “suspect” before your statement.
Apologies if this seems a bit critical but amongst the wholly excellent posts you make, posts like the above are not necessary or pleasant. This is a football fan forum where everyone has a right to express an opinion, even if said opinion isn’t wholly agreeable with others.
We all slip up sometimes, but that’s how we learn, especially if others offer their alternative opinion in a nice way.
Have a good evening mate.
I disagree, I do believe he's leaving purely for the trophy chase.Let's be honest about it he is not leaving because of his supposed trophy quest because if that were the case he would have shown up in the finals he played in for us. It's about the big pay day and the 400.000 pound a week he will be getting.
As much as I have loved watching him prove everyone wrong about the one season wonder, the way he has handled this with the interview, allowing his brother to mouth off and apparently trying to force the clubs hand after he is only half way through a 6 year contract he was only to willing to sign, means he has went down in my estimation.
If he goes so be it but I hope as a club we stay true to our word and accept nothing less than at the very least 160 million for him.
Wow. I have seen some aggressive, caustic responses on SC over the years, but this is beyond the pale. It’s mean and patronizing. You have interpreted their comment as passive aggressive and assumed their intent was to use conciliatory language to obfuscate their true intent, which was to take you to task. I don’t really understand this level of anger and unkindness. I find it wholly abusive and completely unnecessary. I have no idea why you would choose to speak to someone like that, who went out of their way to be politely critical, without punching under the belt.Bollocks. Like most people, nowadays, you cannot tell the difference between "opinion" and evidence.
And your post is the slyest kind of fake, passive-aggressive, dishonestly "sincere" slime, managing to be ingratiating and patronising in the same breath.
I meant it to sound at least as harsh as it sounded. The post I was responding to was vile, in the slimiest possible way. As I said: "ingratiating and passive-aggressive in the same breath". I couldn't have put it better myself.Wow. I have seen some aggressive, caustic responses on SC over the years, but this is beyond the pale. It’s mean and patronizing. That said, intent can be misinterpreted online. Maybe you didn’t mean this to sound the way it did to me, at least. Or, maybe you did. Lord knows I’ve been the ire of one of your oratory lashings. Hence why I have you in the ignore list. But felt a need to say something when I saw this. Just doesn’t feel like it is in the spirit of being at least a slightly respectful community of fellow Spurs supporters.
Right… back to Harry Kane… hope he stays, but for the first time since the end of the season, I’m starting to come around to the idea that he is leaving and I’m very, very bummed. Just hope we take City to the cleaners.
FYPShearer’s record. Medals.SpursMoney.
“In that order.”
Imagine! If City meet the asking price i wonder if we have a replacement in mind?
Agree. He could have been honest, and upfront about wanting to leave in order to win trophies and handed in a transfer request. But then that would have cost him money as he would have lost his loyalty ? bonus. If he stays at spurs for his whole career and breaks every record he’ll have a statue outside the ground. If he goes to city and wins a few titles he’ll be thought of fondly in the same way dzeko is, if he wants to go, let him, I’ve always loved Harry but the way he’s trying to force his way out publicly shows no respect for the club
If they’re only offering 200k I think they are a bit short of Daniel’s price.how can some one offer 200K up front (if reports are correct about Levey waning it all up front) and still be FFP compliant ?
Do you really think his brother isn't doing this with his blessing? And to push him to a club that buys trophies with blood money rather than win them with "his club"? If he really cared about Spurs, winning here would be the ultimate prize. What makes you more of a legend than leading your club to the promised land? To leave and go somewhere for a guaranteed trophy to pad your resume because you think you "deserve" trophies? Sorry but at this point Sonny deserves the "one of our own" chant more than Harry.Don't think his behaviour is particularly out of order tbh, by the sounds of things he's at an age and point in his career where he probably does need to decide does he try and influence a move now while his stock is as high as it will ever be or does he edge towards 30 and risk the chance slipping away, so he did an honest interview with G.Nev where he basically said he'd sit down and have a conversation with the chairman and also that he'd love to play with KDB and the chairman may want to sell him if a big offer came in so he's hinting that he'd like to move without actually coming out and saying it.
The one who's messed this up seemingly is his amateur hour agent brother who's leaks to the press etc are straining the relationship with the club, not Kane's behaviour.
I will always cheer him, he'd done nothing wrong and he's an absolute club legend and sure he signed a 6yr contract only 3 years ago but at that time we were in title challenges under Poch and got to the CL final, last season we finished 7th are in the ECL and have a mess of a squad so you can hardly blame him for looking at his options now he is 28.
