It's beyond belief that they thought this scenario would ever transpire.

It's like Citeh were mugging Harry off.

Based on what Dragon said, Kane seemingly thought he could go for a little over £100 million - I wonder if that was communicated to City by camp Kane, but they're not prepared to match what we consider his actual valuation now that's been made clear?

Except it's been going on for decades, and still is to this day, and the big clubs will continue doing it as long as there are no repurcussions.

Bundesliga clubs don’t have the financial might to challenge bayern. PL clubs, specifically the top 6, do have the money and resources to challenge city (legally at least). Let’s see.

Charlie Kane is useless,
I’d give the job to Kate,
Harry would still want out,
But her frames would all be straight.

Absolute state of his shitty banker’s suit and shit eating grin. He looks like someone pretending to be an agent.

This is the only thing I can think every time I see him

So sounds like City might come back next year with an offer they can afford and hope we’ll accept. In the meantime, Kane looks like a greedy, selfish twat with zero loyalty to the club that nurtured him and rewarded him handsomely. At least his overreaching influence at the club should diminish now and the fucker can learn to earn his place in the squad in key games based on fitness and not reputation

If this is all true, then for me refuse to sell to an English club. And not considered for match day until he comes out and apologises to the club, team mates and fans. Stupid thing to do in a world cup year

I appreciate that I am approximately the 4 millionth person to raise this, but...why would you go for Kane next season when you could trigger Haaland's release clause instead?

Be very interesting IF mbappe does leave PSG. They may come into play. Said he doesnt want to play abroad but may not have other options.

Someone needs to tell CK that style of tie knot is doing his face no favours.

He looks like a lad playing dress-up. Clearly doesn’t put a suit on every day.

I think this is likely, hence the subsequent tantrum.

Where did the £160m figure come from?

I don't think they can afford both and that's the problem it's one or the other.
I’d love it if Grealish looked at how City have behaved over this and decided to stay- perhaps not happy to play second fiddle in their transfer priorities. He almost certainly would go, but it be hysterical if City fucked this up and ended up with no one or had to pay full measure for Kane

Haaland will have his choice of clubs next close season. City will have a lot of competition for him.

Would you turn on Ndombele if he went on strike because PSG offered 25m and we refused to sell?

As I said earlier, club legend, 18 year old kid or Matt Doherty it makes fuck all difference. Going on strike is 100% wrong and he's disrespected his team-mates and the entire club by doing it. There are NO excuses. Sit tight and wait for the arabs to realise your true value.

I agree he's outgrown us but his approach is disgusting.
I don’t think he’s outgrown us in the slightest.
With a touch more luck or more conviction he could have won several trophies with us.

he and most of the team didn’t turn up to the finals.
His attitude is implying the team, not him wasn’t good enough.. what a ‘team player’…

man City, real, PSG all won without him. We can too, if we focus on a-great team/squad instead of worrying about him.

The Mrs is following the Grealish story, and from a Villa point of view they’re talking about him getting a new Villa contract*

* not a Villa he’s buying with his City signing on fee

There is only one Haaland.

If Haaland goes to City I can imagine Manure going for Kane... and dependent on how we are this season it could be a go'er for Kane. Manure would stump up 100m

The club, and by some extension ENIC, gave Kane the best stadium in Europe to ply his trade in, the best training facilities in the world to hone his craft, made him our highest paid player ever by some margin. It tried to hire Mourinho to deliver trophies, making him the third highest paid manager in the world. They signed Ndombele, Sanchez, Lo Celso, and other expensive players like Bergwijn, Lucas, Aurier, Reguilon, Sessegnon and Son - trying to build a team that could compete, and for a few years we did. It fell apart somewhat last few seasons, but I don't believe the club haven't tried to meet Harry's ambitions.

We got to the biggest final in club football and he forced his way onto the pitch half-fit and hampered our only chance of ever winning it - the club/Poch gave him that chance, even though we got to the final without him. We got to the league cup final and he touched the ball about three times - other semi finals he never ever turned up, he is never there when it comes to crunch time. Zagreb - anonymous. He's had numerous chances to win trophies with us, and as our talisman and striker - he personally has faltered just as much as the club.

Some of you are so toxic about the club, you would rather slander it instead of the guy basically going on strike to engineer a cheap move to a domestic rival. Not Real Madrid like Bale, he wants to force a move to a financially doped artificial club - massively weakening us in the process and happy to ensure we're not fairly compensated for the massive amount of resources we've piled into his development and maintenance.

As much as Kane is in my opinion to blame for this whole situation, and as obvious as it is that he is dealing with a a Chairman that shows no negotiating weakness, the person really at fault is the source who advised Kane not to show up at the club that he is contractually obligated to do.

I would think that he has taken advice from a certain ex-player who made similar moves not so long ago, and i would bet a Kings ransom that whatever his agent brother has advised him to do, it came from someone not associated with Kane's management team. I would even go so far as to suggest that a potential buying club may have recommended this course of action.

The key now is for Levy to extract as much money as possible from City, and for Levy to stand firm, something that he is renowned for. I never thought that i would see this, especially from an England Captain, Club talisman and a Member Of The British Empire.

How could he ever put himself in this position?
