Entitled bunch of gobshites.
Just thinking the same, this one got me, of course WE must have needed a loan, only the all powerful city can outright buy players. God they are a bunch of cretins!

I just can't fathom why, if it was planned for Kane to have an extra week off, this wasn't all nipped in the bud on Monday?
By either him or the club.
I know the club have a policy of not responding to rumours but this has been more than a little damaging.
I'm struggling to make sense of it all.

I think the simplest explanation is that it wasn't planned, or more specifically it wasn't agreed with the club.

That statement is all about Kane, and how us as fans have the audacity to question his professionalism and it’s us the fans fault for all this publicity and negativity he is getting. Basically, the statement is ambiguous, like a statement written by a lawyer.
If what he is saying is true, then why not state in there, that the club and him had agreed his holiday was until Saturday and not cause further speculation with all this “I won’t go into specifics” comment, because the specifics are the details that has caused all the unrest and speculation in the first place. The underlying fact is, these specifics are mainly he wants to leave and he is unhappy that he is not being allowed to.

If he moves to City, he will probably come out and say it was the way the fans turned on him, and convinced him that he needed to move club rather than he wanted to move in any case before this happened.

Basically the long and short of the statement is, Kane is not to blame and it is Levy’s, the fans, media’s fault or anyone else’s fault but his for the current situation.

You've fallen for his semantics there, though.

"Planned" is not "agreed". Only one party needs to be involved for a plan, whereas a mutual acceptance of the plan is an agreement

Your point is well made, and that thought had occurred to me. It takes two, or more, to make an agreement, but only one to make a plan!

Its time to forgive and forget and move on. If there was one player that would be allowed to strike, it would be Harry Kane after all he has done for the club. He could have kicked up a fuss years ago. The guy wanted Spurs to win as much as any other Spurs fan.
You’ve o’d on the meds again haven’t you……

It sounds to me like he is justifying his decision to leave the club by finding fault with the fans. "It's not the place i thought it was......"

It seems I'm the only villager not marching with a pitchfork.

The most likely explanation, ie. the one that fits the known facts, is that Harry and Levy had an agreement that he would delay his return while a deal with Citeh was agreed. It should be obvious to everybody that he's not going to line up next week against the side he's probably about to join, so delaying his return by a week gives Nuno the simplest explanation to the press for him not being selected.

We can criticise the way he and the club have failed to manage the negative press, but to dump so much shade on Harry is bang out of order for any player, let alone for one of own. Are Spurs fans really so fickle?

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Don Fabio and Charlie have their next meeting.

To people saying he's made a mistake. It's not a mistake, it's a series of co-ordinated, premeditated actions to undermine the club that has been going on for months now.

It didn't happen,
And if if did it wasn't that bad,
And if it was, that's not my fault,
And if it is, I didn't mean it,
And if I did, you deserved it.

If there was an agreement the club could have nipped this all in the bud by saying his extended leave was agreed due to the euros.

The club’s silence was deafening!

They've done over 30 pages on Bluemoon since that Kane tweet. They are losing it and arguing amongst themselves.
I started to read it but as soon as they said the Spurs fans will be sucking up to him now I stopped. They really can’t read the room can they.

Nuno said the the club would deal with the issue internally, which suggests that there was no agreement from the hierarchy that he could delay his return.
That means Harry is spouting bollocks in order to look good on the media front - after all, he’s England captain, and won’t want a tainted reputation.
