Sounds like ‘’not for sale’’ then is just Inter putting out words to calm the fans. Still feel with our DoF and Inter we could be getting a few players from them this summer if they need money.

If we agreed a deal days ago before the lukaku deal, wouldn’t we just push the button on the deal before that happened. I’m sure inter would rather sell Martinez than lukaku.

Deal was struck before the Lukaku transfer was agreed
then arguebly were we too slow or we are having issues convincing the player…
neither, just bad luck that chelsea had 120m to throw at a club for a marquee striker.
move on, get a striker of similar quality in, and all is well.
And you have to realise that much of that lukaku fee will be going to united as inter still owe them alot of the fee they agreed when they signed him so what percentage will actually get that will go towards new players and clearing massive debts
