Wouldn't surprise me if City drag it out to screw us over (e.g. leaving it until last min), or even wait to see who we are interested in an go for them instead, knowing they've already severely unsettled a key player for us.

They can only screw us over if we allow them. The price is XXX, the deadline is XXX…………not one penny less, not 1 minute over the deadline. Meet those terms or fuck off

If Kane really wants to demonstrate his desire to leave he stays but refuses any proposed enhanced contract.

So the inference is Man City offered us 40m cash and Jesus valued at 50m and Laporte valued at 70m which would ultimately increase our annual salary bill by 20-30m and yet they paid 100m cash to Villa for Grealish even when their top priority was a world class CF.
Levy has quite rightly has insisted that our price and conditions are met or no deal. Thinking they could get Kane cheap by him kicking up a fuss City have only got themselves to blame, it is they who are backed into a corner not us, they need a CF especially if they want to compete with Chelsea and PSG who have signed Lukaku and Messi.
Less of your rhetoric pay up or shut up Guardiola.

Is it just me, but I hope City pay the price, and we are done with him?
100%. For me the only person who's done us worse than him is Sol Campbell. Forget the others, this one is particularly unsavoury. Adored by the fanbase and took a giant steaming shit on every single one of us.

A week is plenty of time when players have already been tapped up.

Maybe. Clubs will be putting prices up though knowing we have the cash. A tough one to balance out right at the end of the window when time isn’t your friend.

Yep his the one ?

The meme technically doesn't make sense because the option is the same, it's just the cause/effect - but you get the jist!

I don't particularly think he cares who he's playing for, so long as he's on a platform to achieve his own personal targets, and so if there's one thing we know from him it's that he will want to play even if he's half injured and unfit.

Whether that's good for us or not is another thing.

If it was someone like Berba, I'd be worried about him playing shit to make a point, but I don't think Harry has that in him, due to the side effects of him being very much about his own targets.

In fairness there is a time to negotiate and a time not to. Levy's issue is he chooses the second option far too much.
This is an interesting one because with Harry having 3 years left we hold all the cards BUT its a fine balance because if he's really had his head turned and wants out then if :
Scenario 1 is Levy holds out for say £175m straight cash and City don't pay up then we are left with a very good but unsettled key player.

Scenario 2 being we do negotiate a bit and settle for say £130-150m cash or £120m + a player then we get a good chunk of cash for the re-build and possibly a good player and we've moved on a player who will be having a negative influence on the dressing room.

I see why Levy is holding a strong stance but I think it is important to take all factors into consideration with any decision and negotiation etc rather than just being stubborn and saying I want x amount or no deal, ironically what you need to do is what Levy said in his interview is "we will do what is best for the club".

At this point I'd still rather we sold and looked to just negotiate a fair price and get it sorted asap.

I kind of feel this way as well. We need to really rinse City though and get at least close to a world record fee. Kane’s behaviour can’t set a precedent for when players want out in the future so the only way to mitigate that is by getting a ridiculous fee.

If we can sell him and sign Martinez and Vlahovic as replacements I will be happy. We need to get back to a squad with all players fighting for each other and wanting to be part of the club like we had at peak Poch times. If Kane stays around it feels like it will cause divisions because unless we win the league and champions league then nothing we achieve will be deemed good enough.

I think the deal would have to be agreed by 23/24th deadline, but we'd probably ask them to give us a few days to complete any outstanding business.

so if he doesnt want be involved against city & refuses to play against them, i hope the club tell us this and dont say " harry has picked up a knock in training" and show the world he is still being a massive ****.

All ITK have said he wants to be involved on Sunday.

Would probably rather be wearing the non-white shirt though :ROFLMAO:

This is Levy's decision 100%. That doesn't mean Fabio isn't having input, but ultimately it's DL that has taken this zero negotiation stance.
Then that's me put firmly in my place regarding my view on Fabio's involvement. I would never dare to question the ITK in here, it's far too accurate.
Thank you for that Trix it's much appreciated. Let's hope Daniel sorts it out to everyone's satisfaction and at least no direct responsibility for what happens can be placed on Paratici's shoulders.
