Mate give me some evidence that we are showing ambition? Fucking signing a Georgian winger? Nothing against the player but fuck me.
Modric had only played in the Croatian league and looked like a little girl when we signed him.

Bale was a 18 year old Welsh kid with an emo haircut.

Who gives a fuck where he's from if the scouts believe he's decent.

We signed one of Europe's highest rated defenders this window. On the last page you were complaining we NEED goal scorers or we're in real trouble, when we still have the 1st and 4th leading scorers in the whole league last season, within our squad.

You may have some valid points, but christ, its delivered in the most dramatic fashion.

In fairness, this was 13+ years ago now and for the most part, our scouts have been terrible in recent years.

Hopefully, Paratici can rectify this somewhat - and I agree Vlahovic seems to have all the ingredients to be a top striker.

At the start of the window, It was said that we wouldn't be signing players for mega money. I'm happy for us to try and get players who are up and coming. It worked for us in the past.

That's fair. If we're signing another Njie or Jack Clarke then yes, we're fucked.

Gotta just hope Paratici has better scouts. His record in Italy was pretty bloody good though - you don't become the head of procurement at Juve (or whatever his title was) if you're not decent.

Oh no dont get me wrong, I couldnt give two shits where hes from, I just couldn't remember how to spell his name. But what I mean is, we should be signing players that can qualify us for CL and win trophies, but as @Guntz simply put, I guess its just unrealistic for a conference league team.

Don’t get me wrong I trust our scouts way more than any of us, but I can’t think of a single great purchase up until now that Mitchell didn’t have his hands in until he dipped out, id love to be proved wrong

You’ve massively overreacted here. So just calm your tits and go nuts next week.

Really think he's going to be a superstar. Such a shame if we miss out when we need a striker and should be able to afford him if that €50m agreement is legit.

Just getting frustrated a lot now at how this is turning out, I actually still have slight confidence we can make good of the window, its just with a week left and no idea whats happening with Kane, seems so unlikely. But yeah you're right, lets wait. Hopefully we're all happy by the end of it.

You're conflating spending a lot of money with buying players who can improve us. Look no further than Ndombele. We showed ambition when we signed him. He cost us a ton and can't be bothered to work on his fitness and now wants out.

The great thing about Paratici is that he WAS a scout. He's got an eye for emerging talent, that's for sure. I saw an interview with him on Polish TV and he was going on about how good Lewandowski was at Lech Poznań.

I guess, but lets be honest at the time we were all cumming at the fact we signed him. At the time of buying him, it was the right decision. Therefore we can't really fault us on going through with that deal, infact we have the respect the fact that we tried, but unfortunately it didnt work out. I agree long term it has affected us and I want Ndombele out asap, but my point is we can't really blame the club for going out and getting Ndombele - we all wanted him, seemed a fantastic player, it could have been totally different. I guess some work out, some dont. Just got to take your chances. But then being realistic, I guess we don't have the financial prowess to take these risks.

I do agree with this but I also think there's something amiss in our scouting if these 'ambitious' signings don't work out consistently, as seems to be the case with Spurs. Ndombele, Lo Celso, Soldado, Lamela, Sanchez, none have done particularly well. Even Rebrov didn't cut it.

Clearly Serie A clubs aren’t as skint as some made out. Looks like we’ve very little chance in this deal now
