Bit early in the season for result watching.
No it isn't! You better believe the press were dying for us to have a poor start with a "Fifth choice" manager and all the Kane stuff going on. They could have got acres of press out of it. Man Utd were being crowned champions last weekend so a dose of reality today will definitely be jumped on as well.

Let’s not kid ourselves, we were very poor. We won because of their poor final ball and finishing, very little to do with anything we did well. Similar to how our luck ran out last season, we will go on a bad run if we continue to play like that. Hopefully the resolution of the Kane saga, getting Romero playing and another decent signing or two we get better.
In the meantime we are all happy with the 6 points, but the negativity in match thread was fully justified.
Nothing there to build on then? Will only get worse?

That’s exactly what we were saying about Jose when we were top of the league via 1-0 snatch and grabs. I’m just hoping we will start taking more control of games once we bring some more players in.

I think that's the issue I have. What we are saying now is what was to come throughout Jose's tenure... We used to say the same thing until it became unbeatable... The question is... Is this rinsing and repeating again with Nuno?

Our result helps me enjoy watching the Arsenal x Chelsea game and hope for lots of red & yellow cards.

I said at half time that this game looked like it might come down to stamina, and it did. They’d run out of puff by the end, especially Traore who went out of the game completely.

I can now see why Nuno rested so many players on Thursday. We’d have lost that game last season, good to see us holding onto leads now rather than throwing them away. Wasn’t a classic performance, but we stopped Wolves from creating much, and we should have scored more than one.

Good win, hard worked, but got there in the end, not pretty but got there.
Hugo MOTM for me, that save keeps us ahead. Good games from Peh, Skipp and Ali as well, never stopped.
Son carrying an injury? Again he crossed today when he normally would shoot.
Distinctly average from Moura and Bergwjin.
One thing that is clearly evident is we still need a RB , the thoughts of Tanganga getting injured resulting in Doherty against Traore was frightening.
Sanchez and Dier still worry me, always feel they have a major error in them that could cost us, as it nearly did with the Traore chance.
Would like another option in the middle, Lol celso had no impact when he came on.
3 pts, Kane plays, window nearly over, Coys.
Watching a different game . solidified mid field as Moura was having no impact at all

We pretty much controlled the game against the champions last week.
We were very good against City, but I’m not sure having 33% possession is controlling a game. And really if they had anyone who could finish they would have been 3/4 up in the first 20. They missed a number of gilt edged chances inside our box. Obviously it’s too early to judge Nuno and we won’t know what he’s about for another month or so. I just hope we bring in some quality first team players in the final week of the window because we need them.

Yeah he did. I don't know whose teeth he had in but they didn't fit properly and he was messing his words up the whole time.
Bloke is as so biased, you woukd think that Traore scored a hat trick and Wolves won 3-0 he must have been gutted!
I'm sure he also said Skipp was 'out muscled' when he was fouled...
I honestly thought it was a tough afternoon, first home game with a crowd for almost 2 years so not easy.
Not sure we can read too much into results at the moment as crowds are playing a huge part.

On paper the first 2 games both looked like losses especially with new manager and Kane issue. However instead of 0 points we sit on 6 points. Reckon we should be pretty happy.

Nuno created that terrifying Wolves team. If he can get us playing with that intensity and skill we will be very dangerous.
Absolutely. He’s been vindicated for his choices on Thursday now too, surely? You can’t play with that intensity on the Sunday if you’ve played 90 minutes on Thursday.
