Hard to believe there isn't better value overseas than what Traore would cost.

If we're getting a wide forward he needs to have end product, which Traore doesn't. We already have enough forwards who don't fucking score.

What we really need is a playmaking CM.

Would love us to pull this off, as Nuno ❤ him! Meltdown by some if this was to happen. And it is a very good possibility…?

I really hope this doesn't happen. yes he terrorises defences but today showed the same as I've always felt "no end product". he wasn't close to an assist, and with his 2 best efforts 1 went out for a throwing, the other with his pace he would have been better trying to go round the keeper which either results in a goal or poss pen and red card.

We keep trying that. Lamela, Bergwijn, Lucas, Ndoms, Lo Celso. Then we discover that it's not so easy in the Prem. Traore has done it here, we'd know exactly what we are getting.

International winger who comes on as a replacement. Near a starter.

People being harsh on Traore saying he doesn't have enough end product, but he'd be playing with better players around him with us, and would improve;

A)His end product watching and playing with better players
B)Our depth

If that's the case Stevie B would be the new Cannigia

Unfortunately he always misses 1 on 1's

From what i can see of him (through Google), he has more yellow cards than goals for Wolves, but hey' let's blow another forty odd million on a player who won't get in the side in a season or two.

The mind boggles on the type of player the Don is apparently looking at.

valenciayid regarding what he said a week ago:“Big week coming”…and it was specifically regarding H and a renewed bid from City…im still not convinced we’ve seen the end of this

completely agree, if it was the 100m sprint and not football I’d be all over it, Tajts all he is a sprinter!

This is so wrong. Having seen Usain Bolt and Darren Capbell try and play football, Traore is more like Maradonna than a 100m sprinter. He has agility, balance, touch, strength. He just can’t shoot. His passing is actually quite decent. But he dominates games and puts the fear of god into opponents.

Not Traore's biggest fan, but he can cause havoc, draws 2 men to him most of the time, but then the end product is poor. I guess Nuno feels he has more in him, so who knows, depends on the fee and personally if it's over 25/30m then reckon there is better value elsewhere

Personally think the Vlahovic not signing a new deal is absolutely tied to this, probably wrong but I just think there's a lot of loose ends which would typically have been resolved by now.

Thanks for info mate.

it absolutely is COVID-related.

which, IMO, makes it even more obvious JJ is implying we are after someone from wolves
Without wishing to over-analyse isn't the upside down smiley emoji a sarcasm/irony smiley?

What has he done? 7 goals and 12 assists in nearly 100 PL games, and 20 goals in his entire career.

He is a handful who will draw attention and create space for others

yes but he doesn't lift his head up to then pass to someone in a better position. not sure if you've seen it but last week had he lifted his head up, he had an easy pass to Jimenez v Leicester. by the time he passed it (to the Leicester defender) Jimenez was marked by 3 players

There was actually Darren Bent, who was (I think) a club record signing at the time, Pavlyuchenko, who had just been signed, Dos Santos, who had also been signed off the back of playing for Barca, and then Frazier Campbell. we'd sold our two best, but it wasn't the scenario that people suggest, of having just Frazier leading the line.

It seems funny how managers were back then "I've only got 4 strikers - how will I survive!?!". Redknapp used to have enough players to field 2 completely full strength teams, including the bench.

The actual problem is that people judge windows post-fact. Same with last summer. It'll be the same this summer. Even if it ends up "amazing" by 1st September, it'll be marked as a disaster if the season is underwhelming in other areas, such is the mentality that games are won in transfer windows.
Fraizer.

Traore. LOL. That’s the best we can come up with. Nuno masterclass continues. I think that’d be me pretty much done for this season. Transfer windows never cease to amaze. Just when you think they’ve given you the most comprehensive beating possible, from belief to hope to despair to recognition, a jab comes in and discovers a completely new organ to batter.

Sorry for the edit but just to delineate the spectacular stupidity: Damsgaard is available. His is unbelievable as a lwf. For less than Traore. Among god knows how many others. But no no. Nuno knows best. Sign the guy whose face you remember from the before job. Brilliant transfer policy.

How would he know the intentions of man city?
It could be he thinks it likely they will return, but that is hardly itk.
It could be we are currently negotiating and we are close to a deal.
Or it could be that this has been wrapped up sometime ago, and we are waiting to get some replacements in at a reasonable cost.
