Come on. That’s just not true. A 25 year old, one of the best dribblers in the world does not play for wolves.
Playing for Wolves is totally immaterial to whether he's a good dribbler or not. Here are his dribbling and carrying stats, as compared to attacking midfielders and wingers in the top five leagues:

Both by the eye test, and by the stats, he's absolutely one of the best dribblers in the world.

Vardy, Lewandowski, Luca Toni, Klose, Di Natale, Pirlo, Ian Wright, Papu Gomez, Perisic, Drogba, Dzeko etc...

All of those played their best football over the age of 25.

Just off the top of my head.
There's that Lukaku fella. Pirlo, Forlan, Maldini, etc, etc, etc.

It's fair to say that over the last 20 years, there's dozens and dozens of players who have improved considerably after the age of 25.

7 goals in 105 league games for Wolves as a winger? I’m unconvinced.

I guess if you stick him alongside Kane and Son up top that number is counter-balanced… but at that strike rate you’re not adding goals to the team…

Glad to see Herc's seemingly has his fingers crossed. I for one, would be thrilled with this. Another weapon for Nuno to deploy, depending on the circumstances. And who knows? Maybe playing with the likes of Son and Kane will help him improve his final product (be it passing, crossing or finishing). I'm sure if you asked Son and Kane if they'd like to play in the same team as him, that'd be a resounding 'YES'. Seem could probably be said for our fullbacks and center backs. I highly doubt any defender relishes playing against him.

No he can’t, he’s defensibly absolutely shocking. I honestly have no idea how you’ve come to that conclusion based on any factual information of his career. ??

WBs don't have to worry about defending; just look (when they've played there) at Trippier and, more recently, Doherty/Aurier.

It’s not immaterial tho is it. If he was the second coming of Ryan Giggs he wouldn’t be playing in Birmingham. Fact.

Bet his conversion stats are true shite. Stats can make a Donkey look horny.

It's completely fucking immaterial. At different points in his career Dembele was at AZ Alkmaar and Fulham, did that have any bearing on the fact that he was right up there with the best dribblers of his generation? It's a total non-sequitur.

FWIW Gards on Twitter said that Traore has rejected a new contract and doesn't intend to sign one.

If they don't sell him for 40m this year, they risk getting half of that the next.

It seems like this will get done soonish I reckon - just need Wolves to sort their replacement (most likely Guedes)

Guedes is a easy replacement and won't take long since "Mendes"

No idea how they'll get that deal done - heard his agent and the club don't do business together

There’s no question he’s elite at what he does. Beating players 1v1 and often 1v2 and 1v3 with his pace. But it’s more than just pace. It’s timing and technical quality as well. And ball progression. He can carry a team up the pitch by himself with the ball at his feet. He’s frightening on the counter attack and can destabilize a deep defence by taking players on and finding himself in a good position to deliver. What he’s great at can’t be taught.

What he is bad at can be taught, but the shooting technique is so wild and rushed a lot of the time, and it hasn’t developed nearly as much as I’d like considering he’s 25 and had many years to work on it. He doesn’t find corners often with precision and he can strike a ball hard, but rarely is that combined with accuracy and composure.

As he is right now, I’m not sure he’s at the level where we want to be, but he’s someone who can occupy the best of defences with his threat. But also if he somehow finds his feet in front of goal, he’s at the level of the very best. Even just a tiny bit of finishing improvement, and I’d be happy to sign him, but for me I’m not so sure I want him, even though I recognize what he brings and the excitement factor. I need more with the final action. The potential and profile at least means I see a real purpose and idea behind the signing though, and if it works out, the reward will be massive.

Nuno oversaw him for three years at Wolves. Do you think much will change here?

IDK but it's worth the shot, if Kane stays and helps him with his shooting or even Sonny and he actually puts it together that 40 million pound player just became 150 overnight and I'm not being overly dramatic. Genuinely if he somehow someway actually puts it all together he would be one of if not the most fun player to watch in world football. Do I think he will, prob not but it's worth the punt if we aren't going to do anything else anyways other than get prospects (which I'm all for, please get ilaix)
