New Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo set to raid former club Wolves for winger Adama Traore with West Midlands club ready to sell Spain international for around £45m
  • Tottenham boss Nuno Espírito Santo is keen to be reunited with Adama Traore
  • Wolves are open to letting the winger leave after his three seasons at Molineux
  • Wolves hope to bank a fee similar to the £45m Liverpool paid out for Diogo Jota
Tottenham are interested in Wolves winger Adama Traore.

Spurs, who are edging closer to a £43m deal for Atalanta centre back Cristian Romero, also have Traore on their list of transfer summer targets and are weighing up a move that would see Traore reunited with his former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Wolves have yet to receive any official contact from any of Traore’s admirers but they are open to letting him leave after three seasons at Molineux.

The 25 year-old has two years left on his contract and Wolves would hope to bank a fee similar to the £45m Liverpool paid for Diogo Jota last summer, meaning prising Traore away will not be straightforward.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Leeds have also been linked with Traore though the Elland Road club are understood to have alternative winger targets.

Not for me. Relies on being given the ball and then just running. Seems to have little off the ball intelligence or much else to his game. Would genuinely rather keep Lucas.

No thank you. Really just a speed merchant and his end product and quality on the ball just isn't good enough.

I think it's a lazy link because of Nuno being our manager now. I can't imagine he's on Paratici's shortlist. Would be a terrible signing blowing all that money on him.

For a club allegedly hard up on money, this makes no fucking sense at all. If we've got that sort of cash to spend on a player, there must 10x better ones out there

Ha, no way. If he was in a free then maybe as a squad option. All brawn and no brains.

Traore is that old fashioned winger imo, one good game six so so ones. On his day, superb but Xmas comes more frequent than his good days! I'd rather Coco, at least he was still a nuisance when playing crap.

Daily Mail so probably little truth in it.

He has shown no signs of an end product. He has a crazy amount of skill and pace. Part of me thinks he isn't a hopeless case but my guess is he won't suddenly get his end product right.

If we sold a few attacking players I'd understand him as a backup, but not for £45m.

Yep. Considering Leon Bailey just went to Villa for much less, who would be a better punt.
