Nuno was always a short term stopgap until Poch was available again IMHO.

Don’t think he’ll make it that far.
I doubt Paratici was thinking that way with this appointment. For Poch to return he'd want a lot more control than is likely under this DOF.

I also suspect that Real are waiting on him. Ancelotti was more of a stop-gap appointment for them than Nuno is for us.

Honestly what the fuck are you people like? Did you think because we were top of the league we were the best team in the country? We ain't we have a bloody good side but not good enough to go to palace and dominate the game with so many crucial players missing let alone to lose another one in ten minutes and then go down to ten men. Of three substitutes to make changes we lost two to necessity so our options were taken away from us.
I'm disappointed too but some of you need get a fucking grip.
No easy games anymore and when you lose a player to a red card on 58 minutes your in for a rough time.

I'm gutted, yes it was shit, but I'm willing to take the hit and move on.

We wasted all summer pretending we’d sign a striker and once again didn’t do anything. We’ve just one striker at the club who has no interest in being there. Our recruitment yet again absolutely shite.
Half baked.

Every window.

Levy believes we have enough in the squad which simply isn't true as seen today.

As soon as a few are unavailable we are back to relying on Winks, Davies and other really average footballers.

Dele may have improved his effort but he's not a go to player for creativity and control. He can do great stuff in small flashes but you need much more than that.

Lloris: 3. Poor distribution throughout kept us on the back foot and got Dier injured.

Reguilon: 3. Ran up and down a bit. End product was absolutely atrocious.

Rodon: 7. Came on and barely put a foot wrong. Promising performance.

Tanganga: 4. Was good until the pointless sending-off, that now leaves us short for our next game.

Emerson: 5. Beaten by Zaha a few times, but overall a pretty average performance.

Skipp: 5. Anonymous. No major mistakes, but didn't do much defensively or in possession.

Winks: 5. Busy. The only player who wanted the ball, but failed to do anything with it.

Hojbjerg: 4. Anonymous. Offered nothing at all in the box-to-box role and wasted our only promising half-chance with a baffling pass.

Dele: 3. No movement, no passing, no creativity, no shots.

Lucas: 6. The only bright spark with his dribbling.

Kane: 3. Tripping over his own feet at every opportunity, lazy in his movement.

Davies: 3. Out of position in a team down to ten men, and he played like it.

Nuno: 0. Changed the formation to one the players clearly didn't understand or enjoy. Named a line-up devoid of creativity, and we saw entirely predictable results as we created nothing and couldn't sustain possession or pressure. Changed nothing despite the obvious failings, and by leaving it so late, let Palace get a strangle-hold on the game. His decision not to bring on Gil in reaction to Palace's second can only be understood as him giving up entirely.
Think you’ve been extremely generous in giving Dele and Kane a 3. Kane was shit today but it can be said he’s been on international duty, but Dele hasn’t (and isn’t going to be in the future based on his performances) so there’s no excuse for his lethargy or anyone else in the team who didn’t play in international games.

I basically turned off when the ref signalled for the pen...

I'm not surprised by the result

We got outplayed by wolves and just scrapped past watford with a near full team, im not surprised this happened today with that selection and when tanganga was sent off it was game over.

I'm fucking seething. Is there a reason why managers after they win manager of the month, suddenly become totally incompetent.

No one can ever EVER convince me Winks, Skipp, Hojberg in the same side is a good fucking idea. Don't care how many players are out.
Lucas the only player out there with any kind of pace or energy. What were they possibly thinking we were gonna get out of the game. The fact the same 11 went out the 2nd half was criminal. Absolutely shocking.
if you ask 10 fans none of them would put a such line-up

Shown up by a team managed by Patrick Vieira.

Patrick. Fucking. VIEIRA!!!!
1-0 up and instead of shutting up shop against 10 men, he brings on a striker to ram the win home. More bravery than I’ve seen from us in years.

No more “friendly” so I guess I’ll go with the handshake.

You know it's bad when half the fans are begging for an unproven youth player and an out of shape midfielder who wanted out this summer to come and fix everything. Games like this are so predictable for as long as we have Levy in charge of the club. Oh well, at least I have Edouard in my fantasy team.

A lot of people thought that the fortunate results against Watford and Wolves were good and a sign we could win even when not at our best. Does today now counter that?

This was Palace for God’s sake, and a vulnerable Palace too, not Chelsea. If he’d set up like that for Chelsea I would understand (I would still expect more from the players) more.

No ambition, not good enough. No game management, no quality, no intelligence.

I wasn’t expecting much from Nuno and always thought he would be gone at the end of the season at best. Nothing has changed my mind. The first 3 games have flattered us. The football has been uninspiring and not enjoyable.

We are miles and miles from the top 4. I don’t think we’ll finish in the top 6. If that’s the case I’d at least like to entertained every now and again.

Even if we sack Nuno, can any of us face another debacle for the search for the next cheapest manager who isn’t bothered about their reputation being tarnished. Mason might be expecting a call.

Felt for Lucas. Must have been four or five times he should have won free kicks around their box, but he couldn't buy a decision from the ref for some reason. Our only bright spark today really.

John Moss was fucking atrocious. He should have sent Tanganga and Zaha off for the first incident. Tanganga takes Zaha out cynically and Zaha has his hands in Tanganga's face 2 or 3 times afterwards. he should have sent Zaha off later on for a second yellow too (almost identical to Tanganga's). Moura got clattered all afternoon and got fuck all. We didn't deserve anything out of it but Moss handed it to them on a plate.

Absolutely dominated by Palace for pretty much the whole game. Hard to understand what Nuno thought he was doing with the team set up like that, just ridiculous. Midfield totally bereft of any craft and by moving Dele forward we looked Like a front three that had never met each other. Well beaten and unbelievably we never fired a bullet from the bench, Gil or Ndombele, Nuno totally ineffective from the side and asleep at the wheel.
