I think we'd be 1 point behind if (yeah, I know) we won all of our games in hand

Been saying for a while i think there is more than one space. I thought liverscum had 2nd down but theyre goign through a slight dip and losing star men. Last season they recovered well but theyll find it tough again this season.

Winning our three games in hand puts us one point behind Chelsea. Third should definitely be an aim!

Aren't you the bloke who thinks most of our team is utter shite - especially the ones that Conte seems to pick most?

So where, exactly, are you getting the confidence that we'll win our 3 games in hand - January transfer window?

Can’t believe I’m defending Mane and agreeing with Carragher but he’s right - he hits Azpilucueta with his wrist not his elbow. If it were the elbow it’s a certain red card - as it is it’s an orange…

Are you serious. He could easily broke his eye socket with that challenge.

If you ever find yourself agreeing with Jamie carragher, stop for a second and do what he does himself when talking about a Liverpool mistake.
Find any way possible to argue the opposite

Yes the contact was lower on the forearm/wrist, but the speed/force of the contact that was caused by Mane jumping INTO his opponent brings this up to red.

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

Like I said - IF he hit him with his elbow.

But he didn't. It was his wrist. The outcome was no worse than a later incident involving Konate who, like Azpilucueta was absolutely fine after rolling around for five minutes.

Now you can make an argument for intention rather than outcome - and I agree Mane's action was much worse than the Konate incident - but does that exist under rules?

Of course there's a difference in the rules. Mane had a much higher amount of force, more direct contact, and jump into his opponent with speed.

I don't care who hit who and who should have been sent off or who shouldn't I'm just pleased points were dropped by teams above us. Chelsea's next league game is Manchester City, we play Arsenal then Chelsea. By the end of this month things could be completely different, might be a really important month.

Digging what mate? I'm just sharing my opinion which happens to be in line with what the ref on the field and the VAR felt.

For the reasons I posted above and the fact Mane does look at the ball rather than the player as he goes to jump its clearly NOT a red card.

I rate this action very similar to Kane's incident. An orange. Certainly a yellow but wouldn't be surprised if it was red.

Sorry if you disagree. (y)

Exactly. And as far as we're concerned at least, we're not even half way through the season. Things are looking encouraging.
