Or you change the system and play Son behind a two of Kane and Diaz or both Diaz and Son playing behind a target man with freedom to roam.

3-4-1-2

3-4-2-1

I meant you no harm @Stoof and I genuinely hope that you, your Mrs and your daughter are healthy and well as that's what truly matters. And I am sorry to hear about the rough time that you had.

I'm generally an optimist and that applies when it comes to Spurs, and the pessimism can be tiresome to read but I really get frustrated when poster's frustrations with the club and Levy/ENIC is met with personal attacks by calling them bedwetters, moaners, telling them that they "can't handle real life" because they're reacting to something negative involving the club we all love.

And I realize that makes me a hypocrite for getting personal with @Stoof for which I wholly, and unreservedly apologize.

People's outlook in life are generally shaped by the sum of their experiences - both negative and positive - and I just don't agree that someone's opinions are less valuable or are worth less because they are negative and when responding to those posters in a mean-spirited way, considerations should be given to what they could be possibly going through in life as you dont know what people are going through - the same way I didn't know what Stoof was going through.

Although the conversion rate to GBP from my local currency is pretty high, I'll donate as much as I can to the site for my troubles.

Sorry for taking the thread off topic @Rob / @Archibald&Crooks and my apologies again @Stoof.
I'm very guilty of calling out those you are talking about, but. It's not those that are frustrated and airing general concerns that I'm targeting. It's the posters that when we concede a goal start screaming about money needing to be spent, or repeatedly saying the same negative stuff over and over in every thread.

Take the Vlahovic news today for example. Some of those posting their outrage that we haven't signed him are the same posters that have been telling us since minute one he'd be going to a bigger club. They are the same posters shouting about how Amrabat is real lack of ambition(without knowing who he is) and yet at the same time whenever we are linked to anyone better telling everyone that will listen he's too good for us.

Now they may well be correct in some of their assessments, I'm not going to argue that. What we don't want or need though is those same posters telling us 15 times a day for a month. Especially when they don't know what's actually happening.

RE Diaz…….don’t do it to yourselves
Let the dreamers dream dude...

A couple of years back I couldn't believe we'd actually bought Ndombele.

Now, I still can't believe we'd actually bought Ndombele, just for very different reasons.

as an fyi, been heavily linked with man utd & scouse for near £70m sterling ( not euro )
Maybe, but 'heavily linked with' doesn't pay the bills. Porto need to clear their overdue payables by the end of the month or will be banned from UEFA competitions for next season, and UEFA money makes up a significant proportion of their normal annual revenues. Last year they received €74million from their participation in the Champions League, which was almost half of their total annual income.

Our opening bid may well be way below what they're hoping for, but it sounds as if it is at least an actual offer on the table. They can always come back with a counter-offer.

Diaz? Ha! This will go the same way as Vlahovic, I don't doubt our interest but you know a bigger club will swoop. Conte is no doubt finding out just how difficult our transfer windows are

is not prepared to negotiate and refers only to the player's termination clause fixed at 80 million euros, since Sérgio Conceição considers Luis Díaz absolutely fundamental to the club's objectives

Their overdue payables is a whopping 5mn mate. I would be livid if we needed to pay 5mn and sold Harry Kane to fund it.

We shouldn't be paying more than that for a player that's only played in Portugal IMO. If it's not enough then so be it but it has disaster written all over it at a record fee.
I mean, Bruno and Dias are pretty good examples of when we should’ve pushed the boat out for a Portuguese based player.
