Was the wrong player to bring on imo, Lucas was providing a lot of energy and movement in the second half and once he went off we let them back into the game.

I said it in the Brighton match thread, and got a few peoples backs up, but he looks slow and heavy. Same tonight, had a couple of chances to run into space but It was like he was running with lead boots. I don't know if he was playing much at Juventus? So maybe it's just a lack of match sharpness?

Disclaimer - this is not me writing him off, he's a kid in a new faster league it'll take time to adapt.

Yeh I’m worried about this one not writing him off fully but just don’t think he looks anywhere near ready

The truth is he'd be better if we're chasing a game or in possession (I know he was subbed on before the Son goal). What we needed was energy, pressing, intensity from that side. Lucas should have stayed on so it's a little unfair to Kulu.

But ffs I don't think he could be slower if he tried. Looks acres off the pace. Let's give him time, but I can already tell he is not an electric or physical player whatsoever.

Do you guys remember how slow Kane was at the start of the season? Now look at him.

He’s come from Italian football which is slow and playing in a system under Alregri which made them even slower and more cumbersome. He was dynamic in Parma’s counter attacking system a couple of years back and he’s very young.

Let’s wait for a few months under Conte’s conditioning and then judge his speed.

He needs minutes but I really don’t know why Conte took Lucas off. We were putting in our best phase of attacking in the match, Lucas had just grabbed the assist and we needed to keep our foot on their neck.

It was a strange decision as this guy clearly isn’t going to give us the same threat.

Not going to judge him yet as I really don’t know what sort of player he is.

I'm not worried he's 21, plenty of time. But he looks more like a 9.

Totally agree. But on the other hand, was he actually fast at Parma, or did he just look fast because it is generally a slower league?

He needs time, no doubt. But i do think his natural position is a central one; either behind the forward line or as part of a midfield three.

He wasn’t rapid, and never will be. But was fast enough. Certainly faster than Eriksen and Kane say. And that’s enough if you’re smart, good on the ball, work hard and have great movement (all of which he does)

He will have his uses imo, but this was probably the last game you'd think of subbing on Kulusevski, especially after we'd just gone 2-1 up. Was a very bizarre sub for me. Surely you have to get Harvey White on to sure things up in midfield, having taken PEH off.

My first impressions are that I don't think he has the right attributes to be a success as a RW in the Premier League. Think playing in the hole behind two strikers may suit him better.

Looks an odd signing. Incredibly slow and looked totally lost with his crossing opportunity on his right foot. Early days.

I'll say it as I see it. So far I've seen nothing that makes me think there's a player in there, or at least even the makings of one. I know he's hardly played yet, but you can still tell a decent player even when they're not match fit and only played half an hour or so. I just don't see it.

Bentancur on the other hand has played a similar amount of minutes and I think he really looks to have a bit of class about him. You can just see it.

So for me minutes played are irrelevant. I'm just saying I don't see anything in Kulusevski that gives me hope. Seems incredibly one paced. On and off the ball.

Hopefully I'm talking rubbish and he turns into a machine. At which point I'll delete this post and say I knew we had a decent player.
