Its not so much the system but the players. Conte has got us running more sprinting more he has squeeze every drop physically out of the squad unfortunately you can't polish shit
Definitely. That part was needed. But the change tonight was strange. Royal isn’t good enough. Agreed, but taking sess off for Bergs was just odd. Should of been a straight swap for Regs for Sess and Son for Bergs. I would of left the right side alone as I think kulu is class. Maybe he was shattered as he puts a shift in. why none of our younger players ever get a shot is strange. You can’t tell me we dont have a better rb/rwb better than the 2 we stick out at the minute.

Conte: "We have too many up and downs. I have to be patient and work very hard to make this team more stable. We have to improve. I have to find the best solution; sometimes the coach has to use the stick.”

This is what the end of the 21/22 season means for us now. The honeymoon is over and I'm not too keen on this idea of just dismissing everything until some sort of magical summer will transform us. He has to show his worth as much as any of the other losers we have on the field. We are not a properly functioning team and we'll never be competitive until some of the basics are sorted. He should be making us much harder to beat and much more productive going forward, even with the squad that's there now. He gets plenty of credit for taking on a basket case like Spurs, but he can't just rely on new signings. He's got to coach this team to better performances and more consistent good results.

His stubbornness with his formation is doing us more harm then good.

We have to call it as it is, if it was Nuno or Jose they would be getting slaughtered.

Recent results have been horrendous & he simply has to change something …

It is impossible to conclude that anything other than a massive clearout is going to fix the problem of the last 3 years. Including a purge of players who can be great on a Saturday but then dire midweek; we cannot continue to carry such mediocrity. I hope Conte & Kane have the patience for that project, and Levy the will and the chequebook.

Blame him or blame the players, either way its one we should have won.
Can't get rid of him and can't get rid of the players just yet so it's just a case of seeing who feels like turning up each game!

Problem is the clear out involves 3 or the players we bought in the summer…led by the man who will have the chequebook

Stubbornness with his formation?? We played 4231 pivot from when Poch introduced it. Mourinho generally was a 433 man but he abandoned his idea coming to Spurs and stuck with 4231 or the lobsided wingback. Nuno was a 343 man he also abandoned his idea coming to spurs and went the same way as before him 4231.

So now Conte do the same?

Our recent form is relegation fodder team is so poor that it is alarming how easily beaten we are.
From the start of the second half you could see what was going to happen, I mentioned towards the end of 90 mins that it was going the way of the Burnley result it was lucky for us that the game finished only 1-0.
Doesn't matter what anyone says the summer isn't going to change much on what is happening here this club is in terminal decline only going in one direction.

Why are so many people infatuated by Graham Potter?

We have a proven world-class manager now.
It’s because he is viewed as a Poch type. Somehow having him will fix things, yet even the real Poch could do no more. Maybe we should get Potter or bring back Poch and be done with it. It’s probably the reality check many need.

Ok fine, loads of people do the 'if it was Nuno or Jose...' line. Let's say, we all agree.....if it was Jose or Nuno......so then what? Conte isn't infallible? That is a shock! No coach in the world is infallible. What do people actually want to do with that information?

So I’ve counted about 14 posters who have said it’s time for Conte to go. Honestly what is wrong with people. Yes we can criticise last nights performance but why the need to go all this over the top.

It’s pretty much the same players that we have had for years that are continuously letting us down.

Sess, Davies, Doherty, PEH and Winks are all players who are easily upgradable. 5 out of the 11 is a big chunk of the team.

For me getting the midfield to function is key to a lot of this. If winks and hojberg keep starting this will NEVER be the case, sell both come summer.

I'm so done with the CM pairing without Skipp and Bentacur. Especially Winks. Conte must understand he had squeezed the last drop of quality from him already, he's not going to be any better or to be counted upon anymore.

I hope Conte can give a look in at the academy players like White. Place the trust on them, I really think they will repay the faith. Pairing him with Hojbjerg wouldn't gonna be much worse than Winks in all honesty. Winks played like a championship/league 1 player. If White can join these teams on loan, surely there is no difference to playing him over Winks.

Please Conte, if you are reading this. We still have alternative bodies in the youngsters no harm trying.

Hojberg was clearly very fatigued. He is a player who needs to be fresh to be effective. We had to rotate our cms for this game and we couldn’t.

I'm sure the order of the day was to score as early as possible like how we did against Leeds to build a comfortable lead so the youngsters could come on for them, Hojbjerg/Kane/Son especially, later in the game.

You bet if Conte made significant changes, there will still be voices calling him out on why was he following Nuno footsteps in not taking the game seriously right from the start and sub the first teamers in later part of the game still.

The players were evaluated to be ready for this game but their performance proved otherwise. So really the loss was on them.
