Dare I say.......... That Kulu might be a case of serendipity for us? We were all in on Diaz. But he, his agent, and Pool played us perfectly, and away he went to Anfield. Where he is just one of five top forwards. If he had come to us, he'd have been playing where Sonny prefers to play. Though I'm sure he and Sonny are good enough to adapt. However, Kulu seems to slip in excellently with Conte's style of play, and what we need from that side of the field. From I have seen from both, and knowing that both teams play really different styles... it's clear Diaz suits Klopp's system. Not sure he'd find the going as easy if he'd come to Spurs. Would certainly have been a tougher challenge. However, Kulu seems more tailored to our requirements. Fit-to-wear, as it were.
Not saying Kulu is a better player than Diaz. Just observing that this may truly been a case of not getting what you want, but getting what you need.

the thing i really like him is that he puts the ball in dangerous areas, isn't always perfect but makes the defense work
