Of course it's red... Allan is miles off the ball... at full speed... with high feet... If he hits Saint-Maximin's ankle with more power it's broken...

I'm glad that's a red. I hate those types of tackles. No control, feet off the ground, no intention whatsoever of winning the ball.

100% this. These "tackles" can be easily stripped out off the game if enough of them are a red card in a short space of time.

I get someone pulling a shirt back, clipping an ankle, or barging in but those cynical of the feet challenges which have no chance off winning the ball should be harshly challenged.

when you say No Control, what are you thinking is going to happen in that split second.? It’s a def yellow, it’s cynical

But all those other examples are no chance of wining the ball either. Why not red them too then?

I thought it was a red. I hate those deliberate cynical challenges that are so wild. He could have just grabbed him or his shirt, and it's still just a FK and yellow. Instead he swipes his legs away.

You mean like the opponents always go after Kane's ankle because they know it's weak...

Because they have less chance of breaking a leg or seriously injuring a player.

Allan was lucky ASM was off the ground, if his foot was planted, that's a broken ankle at least.

It's the intent.

I'm not interested in what is happening in a split minute. He had no control, studs showing off the ground and was pure chance he didn't injure the opponent. If that was Allan on Kane there's not a single person on this forum who says that's not a red.

My God ... some of those Everton-players are not very likeable... Gordon, Allan, Richarlison... cheating, cheating... moaning, moaning, moaning...

I'm not quite what angle you're digging in on with this. He didn't make any attempt to play the ball, went in with two feet off the ground, into his ankle, whilst he's sprinting... does he need to snap his ankle to justify it?
