Fuck yeah, take that you ****s. Very proud of our openly gay FA president today.
Lise Klaveness is the first Norwegian Football president I'm proud of from Norway. She came from the position of Director of Norway's Elite players, and did an amazing job. Turns out she has bigger balls then more or less all the Norwegian FA presidents before her combined!

Great draw for England. A bit painful for this lifelong American supporter, as it seems likely that we’ll get walked over by Kane and Bale (I told my wife immediately before the draw that my nightmare would be those two plus Korea. Or Ghana, since we’ve played them the last three WC’s we’ve been to). Extra annoying as well, since we should have had the winning bid over a decade ago, which would mean seeing a match in person down the road (or at least tailgating at one).

On the flip side, we actually made it this time! And expectations are low, as we look to really challenge in 2026. And as a bonus, the England match falls on the most sacred of American holidays - Black Friday. Should be a fun four days of all games and no work.

You would imagine the TV companies will pester for the big European teams to have the later kick-offs?

Yeah that's why the schedule isn't known yet. They're gonna set it for the best times for the big nations.

It’s normally 3 games a day isn’t it. I guess they are squeezing it up as it’s mid season. On another note see Gary Neville is in Qatar, not a single tweet or Instagram from a guy who’s on social media 24/7. Probably ashamed to be involved but took the money what scummy hypocrite he is.

Yeah it's 28 days instead of 32.

Kick off times are absolute dog shit

Because the time difference doesn't suit you? Welcome to the world of being an overseas fan watching something at a "weird" time! UK wrestling fans have been doing it for decades in the early hours. 10am is absolutely fine. Our American and Australian, Korean fans have all had to watch Spurs at weird times. If they can do it then so can we for a month.

If the worst thing is how it is during the working day then I'll take it.

10AM at the weekend is bad enough, and completely unavoidable if you're watching a team that's based overseas. These times on a weekday mean a large majority of the team's fans are inconvenienced, and many simply can't watch it if they're not in the relatively privileged position of choosing when they do and don't work.

On the bright side, they've announced the slots now, and they're not too bad. England's opener with Iran is sadly 1pm on a Monday. But the other two group games are 7pms. If England win the group, all potential further games are 7pm too, bar the 3rd placed playoff and final which are 3pm on Saturday/Sunday. If England are runners up, the same is true except a Saturday 3pm in the R16. So it's only the opening game to worry about - book that time off now!

Think I’d be right in saying being at the top of the draw you also play first in the knockout stage. So you have an advantage over those at bottom of draw even by time get to the final with having extra days rest. I think.

Found this on the FIFA website and it seems to have the kick off times. I’m trying to work out the time difference…

Yep those are good times for the UK at least definitely can't complain. It will be weird having the final just before christmas though.
