He's such a good journalist I don't give his club allegiance a second thought, that's how good he is.
I like listening to him and Pitt-Brooke on the View From the Lane podcast. Pitt-Brooke is a Man City fan but they both talk very well on Spurs and are clearly fond of us. …And they have to put up with being talked over by our own Danny Kelly (although I am warming to him tbh).

Sick of Souness being the pundit for our games to be honest, can never mention Kane without raising the question of whether he'll still be with us in the future or suggesting he can 'play for anyone'. Is so tiring.

A lot of pundits going with the '4-0 doesn't reflect the game' line.

Some even saying Villa played really well.

If you get spanked 4-0 you've done something seriously wrong.

I suspect Villa gassed themselves out in the first half and I know they left too much space for our front 3 to exploit in the second.

Both of these things are reflective of an inexperienced coach.

Football is played over 90 minutes, yet this fact seems to have been missed by the pundits.

Tiresome.
This is a phrase that should not be used by anyone, especially THFC fans. I'm sure no offence was meant, but it can be taken out of context.

That’s not what it means.
It means being hyped or over inflated about something.
It’s got absolutely no link to concentration camps or anything related.
So don’t worry- fortunately the youth of today have moved on. If you were down with the kids you’d know this, but I guess your username checks out

Go and listen to dizzee rascal ‘don’t gas me’ for better context

Souness just came across as bitter. He knows we're turning into a top side and probably sees us as a potential threat under Conte next season and beyond.

I think the original poster just meant they ran out of gas. Like a car with no petrol in it.

Easily the thickest pundit, although Danny Mills gives him a good run for his money. Stations like TalkSPORT and Sky Sports just want them to say controversial sound bites as it gets interactions. They’ve no real care about the quality of their output.
They’re both owned by Murdoch.. and they both approach sport from the same dimwitted perspective

I'm 47 and knew what was meant.
It's common parlance nowadays and it took me a while to get where BOF was coming from, I've never linked that phrase with anything other than running out of gas (petrol to you @BoringOldFan ?).
It's just another Americanism that has crept into our lingo.

No. You go visit the war memorial at Dachau, then tell me it has no link. Age has nothing to do with it. Show some respect.
