Raphinha wouldnt be depth, he would start most gamesI find it ironic that people are making fun of Arsenal for signing a player they seemingly do not need instead of a midfielder, when it's the exact same case for us.
Right now, we have a front three of Son, Kane and Kulusevski. Three world class players. Do we need depth? Yes. Should we be spending upwards of £60m on depth? No.
Meanwhile in our midfield, with Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele leaving, we are left with just:
Bissouma
Skipp(coming back from a long-term injury)
Hojbjerg(not good enough for a title challenging team)
Bentancur(a bit of a weird player, might not be strong enough defensively)
If Bissouma goes down, all of a sudden we're left with a significant weakness in midfield relative to the title-challenging teams. (Arsenal have a similar problem when Partey gets injured). We are still short on both depth AND starting 11 quality when it comes to midfield.
If we're looking to spend big money, starting 11 signings should come before rotation/depth signings. With the squad in its prospective state, I find it baffling we're looking to spend big on Raphinha of all players when there is such a glaring need for a top quality midfielder. We should be hunting down a player like Ruben Neves or Milinkovic-Savic before even thinking about spending £60m on Raphinha.

Di marzio will get the scoop I bet ya
I'd suggest sooner the pace this is going.I think we'll know by tomorrow if we're in big time for Raphinha
As in the spurs angle fab and gian are bestieswe cooking now!
Winks, GLC and Ndombele aren't good enough and wouldn't play under Conte though so do they really count? 4 class CM options plus hopefully Eriksen if we can get him would be more than enough for 2 spots IMO.I find it ironic that people are making fun of Arsenal for trying to sign a player they seemingly do not need instead of a midfielder, when it's the exact same case for us.

Seriously. We've gone from dreaming, to he's on the list, to actively pursuing him with an offer on the table. This place, man. It can turn so quickly.
Suddenly lots of people in sky-is-falling mode. Just wait and see ffs. IF raphinha ends up arsenal, moan about it then. In the meantime, just relax and enjoy the ride.
But he can't play LCB. We're screwed broDeki can play CM just like how he can play RWF, Striker, CAM, RWB, LWB, LWF, CB, GK, and Chirpy.
That just makes it more baffling to me.Raphinha wouldnt be depth, he would start most games
Love Kulu but people are treating him like hes irreplaceable at RW
Very encouraging, couldnt thank you enough for your info mateDeco has invited all parties so you really think he’s nailed on for arsenal cmon on guys it’s all about the dollar and ambition. Arsenal believe it or not cannot just throw money at this we have just as much cash here
