1) Chelsea, Man Utd and Man city were the dominant spenders way beyond us
2) the second title challenge we lost by 7pts with no spending and UCL. Our current manager spent big to win that title and then finished 5th when he had UCL. If Poch wasn't in Europe then our squad would probably win that title - Levy didn't strengthen that squad
3) it was two seasons.
4 and 5) Poch had Carroll, Holtby, Capoue, Fryers, Naughton, Lennon and Townsend in his first XI. AC would have had a great attack with that. ACs first team when he took over (under an attacking manager) would destroy Pochs first team when he took over. And before you say it wouldn't, who from that team gets into ACs team?
From Poch’s first year? Lloris, Kane, Walker, and Vertonghen are certain starters. I’d also argue Dembele and Eriksen would be frequent rotation options and start often.

Always cautious to read into body language but Conte looks a beaten man
Agree. I'm actually resigned to losing him now. The disgraceful club seem to be lining him up the firing line on any poor result soon. Hope the lads grow some balls and win for him, if they still playing for him.

I’m struggling to see the reason to rally around him if he’s flat out refusing to make changes to a system which isn’t working and hasn’t done for months.

Wednesday isn’t it. Often looked like this last season when midweek games came around.

Best start for a while, then really terrible rest of 1st half followed by 2 quick goals and nice cruise to large margin victory. Hope he can build from this to weekend and we have good one against Pompey as there are difficult fixtures building up and any stumble will affect confidence.

Hope Benny and Son get confidence from this.

What a half time team talk that must have been.

Hard to believe the same people produced such different halves of football.
