Our chairman has this unique ability to be able to turn a fan base on a manager. All Conte wants to do is win games and trophies with us ?‍♀️

I like Conte and want him to stay. But we're playing rubbish and remember, the histrionics are a result of that.

Somehow last season we were one of the two best teams in the league. We added a lot of players that, if not significant upgrades, should have made us more competitive. Instead the players look exhausted and demoralised. Our tactics are easily countered by almost anyone in the league. The fact that we can come back from being 2-0 down so much shows that there is something there to work with and yet we're not progressing.

A lot of this is on Conte, one way or another, and trying to wish that away is not helpful. Consider how people treated Redknapp for his attitude to the club and our standing. And he was actually doing pretty well. You don't have to turn against Conte or like Redknapp, but it seems that people cannot see the double standards and have an increasingly warped perspective.

We have a lot of excuses/reasons for the poor performance this year: Son and Lloris declining, massive injuries, a tragic death, innordinate amounts of individual errors. So I am optimistic that we can get over them and finish strongly. You can hate Levy all you like but you have to start with what happens on the pitch and we should be doing better than we are. Levy may stop us from winning the league, he's not stopping us from being more competitive on the pitch.

It's important not to trust some much of what you hear. I think Levy and Conte are far more realistic and rational in their behaviour that is being presented. It's not actually a soap opera, it's a series of football matches.

That said, we have gotten ourselves into a bad situation. At this stage we really need to stick with a manger for a couple of seasons or more. And Conte may not be the type of man for that. The squad is in bad shape, not because of a lack of investment but because since Pochettino we've changed manager too often (albeit for understandable reasons) and too many players were given second chances and third chances and fourth chances (which again is understandable). But someone needs to stay long enough to freshen the club up and remove the players that flatter to deceive.

If its Conte's fault - how on earth would you expect us to "get over" all of the other issues.

Either those other issues - injuries, congested fixtures in the fall, Son and Lloris declining, a plethora of individual errors, et al - are causing us to play poorly, or they are not. Removing Conte from the equation does not seem likely to address any of those issues...

It's not just as simple as removing Levy. The board have been complicit in everything that has happened and if they remain to appoint a new chairman nothing will change.

Investment or a buy out is the only way forward now imo.
But is that buyout likely?? That’s the million dollar question. Sadly, I fear it won’t happen.

Good, more people need to realize how mickey mouse they are.
Exactly this - the Di Marizo quote today says it all. The board couldn’t give a flying fuck about in field success as long as the money keeps rolling in.

Clear the fucking decks of every single one of them.

So Levy does not want to spend money! The why appoint a high profile manager like Mourinho and Conte who immediately raise expectation and therefor put more pressure on them to spend!

Doesn’t make any sense!

Players tend to switch off if they suspect that the manager will be off, which I believe is one of the reasons for our struggles this season. Therefore, allowing Conte to keep his options open by seeing out the season is the worst possible outcome IMO. Now is the time for both parties to either commit (the Board backs him and he signs a new deal) or part ways.

Everyone is arguing over who is to blame but in all honesty every cog in the system is fucking tiresome atm. Levy is sucking the soul out of the club, ENIC clearly dont give a shit about the football side of things, Conte is having us play dreadful football and severely limiting great players (Bissouma), Paratici is now looking at a lengthy ban, Kane will clearly want out this summer, Son looks like he has lost all his ability. Everything is negative and rotten atm and I agree with @Trix the only way things change are with a buyout/investment and I have a feeling that will fall through too.

You can argue back and forth but everyone is at fault imo.

I really hope Conte will swing more at Levy and tell how he acts and break his promise (if he have) so most of our fans finally will see that Levy is the problem.

If Conte will leave at the end of the season we can for sure write of Luis Enrique because then Levy would need to buy a whole new team to fit his system ?

People keep calling for Son to sit out a few games, but that's not enough IMO. This whole club needs to sit out and take a break for a while. Owners, coaches, players, the kit man, groundskeepers. Everyone needs to take a break and go backpacking in the mountains or a yoga retreat or read Eat, Pray, Love on a beach somewhere. Take some time to recenter and find themselves and let's come back in the summer with some fresh ideas and direction.

Except when he came out afterwards and said nothing had been decided and a new contract was possible.

Then he suddenly became something else :D
Yet i feel the first one is the truth and the second tweet was him bending to pressure from Contes side that he has reveled to much and put his source in a very bad spot.

The fact is still this tha he has 6 months left with no extension and we do not look like investing in what Conte wants. So for everyone the first tweets seems most reliable at this point :(
