So with the scandal at City and my general annoyance at the correlation between spending money and success in football, I’ve come up with an ingenious way to make things better.
Step one wage cap.
Every country that competes in the champions league must impose a wage cap on their squad.
set the wage cap in line with the current highest spenders on wages (probably PSG or City) that way current contracts aren’t a problem.
step two, UEFA money pot.
All sponsorship and TV money goes through UEFA. Then that money is distributed evenly.
example. Pepsi and Coca Cola might bid to be the short sponsor for Real Madrid.
obviously this is impossible and the numbers likely wouldn’t add up but it’s the best I’ve got sooooooo…..?
