Always thought it would be Poch but seems we've had info that not everyone at the club is on board with that. Do wonder whether one of the issues is whether Poch would work with a DoF. Expecting Paratici to go but but not sure we will dispense with a DoF and we were linked with the chap at Benfica.

Tuchel I just don't see tbh....think the next manager will be more someone more up and coming and who will toe the ENIC line for a few years imo.
Brighton will play hard ball over De Zerbi and not sure we'd want things dragged out. We are not a Chelsea who rock up and just pay and get their man so expect it would be messy. Gallardo....interesting one. Gamble no doubt making the jump to Europe and question marks over his English but a lot of people seem to like the way he sets his teams up. Don't really watch River Plate so no idea what we'd be getting.
I think there is some smoke and fire about Tuchel’s departure from Chelsea. Various snippets of a scandal / affair kicking around online.

when he was taking ages to leave the dressing room I thought he might be walking. So disappointed to see him turn up for his interview. Attacking manager now. At least give us some entertainment for 12 games. I dont even care who its is as long as its not 5 at the back and we try and play in the oppositions half.

No chance I see a managerial change yet. We’re 4 (Levy will be happen with that) right now and some winnable games coming up. Unless we lost the next couple of games I don’t see it, we’ll fail but Levy will be hoping we can slog along and scrape 4th and then let Contes contract to run out. I don’t think it’ll be Poch and no manager is leaving at this stage of the season so you wouldn’t get a new manager bounce to make Levy think it’s worth it. 12 more league games to go, yay.

Mourinho is bigger than Conte yes he can get sacked
He can be sacked but he won’t be..blokes has just recovered from an operation and I am guessing would need to be paid off. So not going to happen

When Mourinho came in I thought it was a last throw of the dice to try and win something with Kane, that we should have doubled down on transfers to support him and if it didn’t work we should sell Kane and our most valuable stars and rebuild. We didn’t double down and we didn’t get anywhere. Conte felt like the postscript to that, and again, we were conservative in our business.

Now I think we’ve run out of road with Kane, we should sell him and probably Son too (and I fucking love Son). Start a proper rebuild with a coach who reflects the vision we have for the club in line with the supporting strategy.

Except we don’t seem to have a vision, let alone a plan or strategy for achieving it. Which is really basic stuff. So, in conclusion: we’re fucked.

If we bring Poch in I doubt we’ll see much different to his replacements. We’ll probably get 6 months or so of vaguely positive looking progress only for it to fall apart to the extent that we end up right back here and we’re looking for his replacement in 18 months or less. Wasting yet more time.

We need a proper reset and to make some brave decisions. Will we do it? I doubt it.

If we were to look for a manager now that’s De Zerbi off the list as no chance he comes until summer.

Gallardo said he didn’t want to join a team mid season but maybe we could try and butter him up and he was just saying that because he didn’t want to go to Leeds.

Poch, Enrique and Tuchel you would have to assume would come In right away.

It’s a very tricky situation especially if the club have no clear idea of who they want.

That’s if Levy wants to pay the comp. 12 games away from leaving for free. We’ll see how much top 4 means to him by the choice he makes.
Wouldn't the compensation be the remainder of his contract that were paying him anyway?

I’m not really familiar with his work, but I do know that there was heavy criticism from Chelsea fans about the style of football they were playing under Tuchel.
I mean, there are also substantial chants in the games now from all the Chelsea fans who want him back.

1) I don't think his style of play with them was poor. They scored 2 per game on average in the league in 21/22 in his full season there and were comfortably the 3rd best side in the league behind elite City/Pool teams.
2) He made an FA Cup final and League Cup final in that season.
3) He won the Champions League in 20/21.
4) Most importantly, I don't think Chelsea fans have any idea what they want. They are spoiled and used to managerial chaos.

Tuchel is not a pragmatist, at least not in any way that would make him comparable to Jose/Conte. It's a bizarre take (not aimed at you).

This is a fun article on Tuchel. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...el-at-mainz-chelsea-manager-training-sessions

Journo's and people like O'Keefe are talking up a Poch return and the fans are lapping it up for the most part. I imagine Levy will be getting feedback from people watching social media and this will push him in the Poch direction.
