The longer Conte stays in the job whilst it’s evident he should go the clearer it will become that Poch won’t be the guy. If Poch is no1 then sack Conte now and get him - what’s stopping him. But if as ITK suggests they want someone they can (probably) only get in summer then they might just continue with Conte for the sake of it for a bit longer.

Whilst there is a chance for top four - Conte wont be going. I personally think Conte will stay until end of the season, or at the least, Conte will be given the next two games up until intl break.

I see the benefits in bringing in a manager now - but I would see the next few games as pre season - figuring out who the new guy wants or doesnt want etc etc etc . Levy wont be seeing it like that though - he will be seeing fourth as the achievable goal right now.

Conte is on his way out, I guess Levy and the board will have decided already. Short of a sudden parting of the ways, though, Conte may get to manage the next couple of matches Spurs have coming until a natural break in the season occurs, when Conte can be replaced. Pochettino, I hope, has been asked to shadow Spurs in the meantime while he and his group assess how to reorganise the squad currently in situ, tactics, etc., so that quality of play can improve for the remainder of the season. And that he continues into the summer, transfer window and pre-season, and into the new season.

We do not want Tuchel. We've got Conte talking like none of this is his problem or responsibility; like he's some kind of outside observer. Tuchel got sacked by Chelsea for pretty much doing the same. Let's not have a repeat of that.
Who is we? Don't you mean YOU?

No news my end currently on AC and a potential departure but I've asked the person who gave me the info on his appointment very early on. The only thing he did say is there are some whispers that Tuchel would be very high up on our list.

It would make sense, even though not my preference. I wonder if he could have a short term contract and if he does well then talk about an extension. I'm sure someone of TT's standing wouldn't accept that though.

Please...lets stop hiring ex Chelsea managers that play pragmatic football.

Thanks for passing on. Makes sense..... I'd hope the board would have a little more than "no more ex-Chelsea managers" as part of their deliberations.

Very torn on Tuchel.

Part of me thinks "another Chelsea manager, volatile character, dull football = disaster"

But another part of me thinks "Can play with a back 3, overperformed at Chelsea and did great stuff at Dortmund, supported Spurs, can play attractive possession football (see Dortmund rinsing us in the EL), less risky than some other options".

Definitely not as against it as some people and one of very few options that could slot straight in now and probably get us top 4, but might also leave us up shit creek in 18 months again if it didn't work out.

A small part of me will die if we end up playing negative football under yet another manager, though.

Sack Conte today and get Poch in as Interim, as he is available. He loves the club and know many of the players and i am sure the players will get a boost with him coming in. Let him see out the season and if its a success then give him a contract in summer. If not then go for someone else, and we can move on.

Eitherway Conte needs to fuck off asap!

Half of those players wanted Poch gone. Lest we forget.

If its not going to be Poch as has been alluded to by ITK then I'd like to see us under L. Enrique.

Only thing is I can't in my wildest imagination picture us making more than 4 passes in a row in midfield without the players getting a nosebleed.
