There is that, but there are plenty of posts on here about his football style not being what we want. They had our number at Stamford Bridge this year (who hasn't though) and completely dominated us.

I get that, feels a bit rinse and repeat personality wise and I'm not convinced he would even entertain us with other potential jobs at some of the real big boys.

Richy should be our next manager, add him to the poll.

He has been added as requested.

Di Zerbi added too as he seems to be popular. Votes can be changed. I changed mine too Ryan Mason and yes i am friends with Harry Winks 🤣

Wasn't Gerrard getting decent football out of Rangers in the SPL? That didn't go too well in England though. Just a bit of a concern for me.
No different to the likes of Gallardo, De Zerbi before Brighton. It's always going to be a punt. These days, even proven winners are punts for us.

We've had defensive managers for too long, please just let us have anyone who actually wants to bring in creative players and play on the front foot. Hoping for Poch ASAP but would take Harry back at this rate and I'm not even joking.

Disagree strongly with the conclusion.

We look like we are in for a "project" with or without Kane. The best way to fund that project is by selling Kane - lord knows ENIC are not going to fund it.

So, if our option is one more year of Kane, and he walks for nothing, or we sell for anything north of £80M this summer - I much prefer selling an asset rather than throwing it away.
That's not the full list of options though, there's also the possibility that Kane could stay and extend his contract if we get the next appointment right.

That seems unlikely now, but the club has been a fucking shambles with Levy bringing in (yet another) manager who was wholly incompatible with the way the club is run. Things change very rapidly in football, get the next manager right and the situation could be very different.

I'm not convinced that we're in for a long-term rebuild no matter what. Conte's football has been horrible this season, but we've brought in a lot of really good players over the last four windows under Paratici and the squad isn't as desperate as the performances might suggest. We need to shore up three or four areas of the squad -- LCB, keeper, creative AM, and potentially LB depending on how the new manager feels about Udogie and Reguilon -- which should be doable in the summer for a club with our revenues. It's possible we could be back in contention next season.

I'm not exactly brimming with optimism that we will get it right, mind. Levy has woefully mismanaged the football side of the club in recent years. But I don't think it's true that the current squad is unsalvageable in the short- to medium-term.

Completely agree. It's just that quite a few actively wanted Gerrard before he went to Villa. He was very inexperienced though and I don't know anything much about Postecoglou.

Enrique just doesn't strike me as someone who will be conducive in the Tottenham environment and it's almost futile him being Paratici's choice if Fabio will shortly be relieved of his duties anyway.

Arsenal are in an incredible position to win the league after appointing someone with ZERO head coaching experience. Zero.

Yes, he had a good not great playing career and did an apprenticeship under Pep, but it goes to show that experience and being a “winner” is not important, it’s finding someone driven whose ideas match up with the leadership of the club absolutely completely, in their case Arteta and Edu are completely aligned.

The problem here is that our leadership are completely deluded or lacking any real vision for what they want to create so matching with a coach is gonna be an almost miracle shot.

There's a fierce amount of dross that needs moving on before we recruit I reckon, especially with our modus operandi sell before we buy because of squad space etc.

Davies, Sanchez, Lucas, Ndombele, GLC, Winks to name but 6 could or should move on. Davies maybe you could hold onto as a back up, but that's not even an extensive list I reckon. I'm not sure Levy has it in his locker to move them on quickly enough once the window opens in the summer. Which is what we need.

Very likeable, charismatic bloke. Good football.

He sounds brilliant but we have just spent 40 million quid on a wing back and have another 25 million pound wing back coming, both of whom would be totally obsolete in his system according to that video

Unlike Gerrard, he's got plenty of experience, won a load of stuff (fair to say, not anywhere big – though he did win Australia their first ever Asian Cup, against Sonny's South Korea) and plays a style of football that many on here have been clamouring for.

Also he's Australian, which I would like to see in a Spurs manager :singing:

To be fair Gerrards downfall wasn't the step up but the loss of Michael Beale.

When QPR took him Villa fell apart

Good to see you aren't getting negative reps like i did last week ,can only take it they were from Celtic supporters ,because the football they play is exciting and intense ,want some of that instead of the funereal crap we have witness for 4 years

I think one thing that’s fills me with some optimism is that in theory there shouldn’t be too many managers who we could hire who would be more dour and negative and unlikeable and who play such boring rigid football than the previous 3.

I mean unless we are hiring Capello, surely the next sucker can’t actually make us even more depressed than these last 3 fuckers can they?!

Poch, Enrique, De Zerbi, Gallardo, Tuchel, Rogers, Frank, Celtic Manager etc

Ok Franks football isn’t ideal and Rogers can be a bit of a bell 🛎️ but even still on the whole any of those managers would bring us more positivity and excitement than we’ve had the last 3 years surely 🙏

yes and Porro and Juranovic are not too dissimilar. Juranovic thrived before his moved.
I don't know much about juranovic but the video said they aren't playing as full backs even. They're inverted and come inside. Porros main strength is bombing down the line not as a supplementary midfielder surely?

Udogie cuts in a lot and Porro is too good technically. Think theyd be fine.
