Levy will try and hire the biggest name possible to sell to the casual fans who buy tickets and shield himself from any further criticism. Also, to stroke his gigantic ego.

Enrique would be my guess. He's probably the biggest name that's likely to come here because nobody else wants to hire him. That will turn out to be a disaster just like Mourinho and Conte were.

I’m not really bothered either way by Nagelsmann, but perhaps thats because I already don’t expect it to happen. I do think he’d be a great candidate, however with the Chelsea scenario I think we’ll find out where his head is at pretty quickly. He (allegedly) was very clear about wanting a break to reflect before jumping into his next job, if the break was just long enough for a better offer to come up, then that’s what it was always going to be, and I think we’ve had enough of managers doing us a favour by being here. If however he stands firm on having a break, and Chelsea move on quickly, just maybe it’ll pan out for us.

I’m beyond frustrated that we have another 9 games of Conte’ball despite having seen him leave, Stellini appears to be Conte-lite which is no good for us. However, I do think we really need to get this appointment right, we’ve wasted the long enough since Poch left, enduring sulky petulant managers and drab defensive football. This has to be the line in the sand, get a progressive manager who wants to be here, and who wants to make us better, build some foundations.

If the delay is/was because we know who we want and we just need to wait for them to become available, then I’m ok. But if the delay is because we just still don’t know, then that’s (unsurprisingly) gross negligence again. My one disappointment either way is the board weren’t brave enough to give Mason a run on his own rather than more of the same.

I may have missed this. Is Stellini in until the end of the season or does he go as soon as we get a manager?

I know there are some that are going to be upset if Naglesmann goes to Chelsea but I honestly believe Slot is the prime target anyway, and has been for over a week.

Has every chance to win a Dutch treble this season which I think has only happened for Dutch clubs once with Ajax in the 70s and once more with PSV in the 80s.

how much of an ITK is dragon1?

just thinking if it gets a bit toxic on Saturday and 60,000 are singing for Poch, would or could that potentially sway Levy?

Do we want a quick fix or (hopefully relatively) thought out appointment?

I'd say he is, but I'd also say this was opinion/wishful thinking.

As soon as Nagelsmann became available, he was the obvious standout manager for me. But the longer our manager search goes on, I think it's obvious he will go to them lot in W London.
I want a manager who actually cares about the club, not someone who's here just for a big payday, and thinks they're bigger than us, and we should feel privileged to have them.
I think Poch is the man who deserves another chance. Maybe I'm being blinded by how bad we are at the moment, but in all my years following this club (30 +), he was the man who made me feel more connected to the club than any previous manager. As a fan I enjoyed the football we played under him(especially the first 4 years).
I've never felt as disconnected to the club as I have these past few weeks/months. It's horrible to say but I didn't feel anything when we drew last night. In fact I think we all knew it was coming.
I wouldn't expect Poch/ any manager to come in and turn it around over night. We all know it's going to be a painful rebuild. But like I say, for me personally Poch deserves another chance.

This is all very romantic n all but what has Poch done since he left us to lead you to the conclusion that he deserves a “second chance”?

What I want to see is us being in a manager who is on an upward trajectory and who plays football on the front foot. All the other guff about “I want someone who loves the club/makes me reconnect” is just typical Spurs fan inferiority complex talking imo. We do it do we can insulate ourselves from failure and say “yeah but at least I like the guy in charge”.

When I look at Gallardo for instance, I see a man who is presiding over a team that plays daring, pacy penetrative football. He’s doing that right now. Ditto Slot…. These managers are actually making waves and great progress currently.

You appear to want us to hire Poch despite his very mixed time at PSG and the fact that football has changed since he was last with us.

With the calibre of managers that are available/gettable I don’t think “he deserves a second chance” is a compelling enough reason.

just my 2 cents and not a personal ciriticism of you

If this is the case I'd like us to get it done and announced if possible so the fans have same hope and ease the doom and gloom

"This season, Slot lost 7 of the 11 players which started the aforementioned Conference League final, including their 3 top scorers from last season, leaving him with a lot of work to do in order to keep the side at the level they reached the season prior, let alone improve on it.

"Feyenoord had a net spend of only 2 million euros going into the 2021/22 season, with the club having to rely mostly on loan deals to try and improve the side."

I think it's going to be Slot.

This is seriously impressive by the way
Very impressive but I hope the board haven't approved him on the basis that they'll expect him to happy with a paltry transfer budget and to work miracles.
