I don't want Slot.

The Dutch league is shit, he relies mainly on wing play and struggles with low blocks. In sonny who is undroppable we have a player who is far from a traditional winger and two wing backs we have just purchased totally ill suited to a back four

Nagelsmann is so attractive due to his versatility, with our mis matched squad we don't need another manager set to a certainty formation.

I really like Dr Zerbi but he seems pretty wedded to a back four two although he plays an attacking midfielder at full back so that could work i guess.

Alonso plays that shit 343 and is making it work I guess but against Roma who wanted to sit back they looked every bit the Conte 343 and I guess Amorim would do to.

Potter has a terrible rep now but is pretty flexible with formations and a solid coach. He is known for creating loads of chances although how good they are im not sure. Here he would have Harry and Son to finish them off. But I think it would go down like a led balloon if he got the job.

Rodgers can piss off, turn around and piss off again . Never

Postecoglu looks like the sort of no bullshit charismatic bloke we could do with right now but he is another 433 merchant with inverted full backs. And again he would have to get off to a flying start.

The more I think about the options the more the boards arrogance winds me up. They have point blank refused to even speak to Poch and now they have messed up the Nagelsmann deal and decided to lie about it . I don't think any of us think they're getting anyone in anywhere near as good as these two so what exactly are they playing at?

Just look at the Pedro Porro signing. He seems like a lovely bloke and a very good footballer but what made them think spending 40 million quid on a specialist wing back who can't defend for a bloke who looked every but like he didn't wanna be here was a good idea? That deal right there tells you everything you need to know about the lacking of planning ,foresight and common sense within our board.

Utterly depressing that levy and his band of merry idiots can keep getting every decision wrong with no consequence. Whatever world they live in I wish I did.

I'd be concerned about Slot with our defenders. He utilises a 4-2-3-1 formation, and yet we have a plethora of wingbacks. Not sure how that's going to work.
Thats why there is something called transfer market 😉 sell the whole fucking squad bar Kane, Benta and romero and bu

I can get behind Slot and his brand of football no problem.

.....but I do have major concerns as @Hotspur88 alludes to if Levy is still persisting with us getting the best of the current crop and especially if this means returning loanees as well.

Standards have fallen so fucking far at this club and there needs to be a line in the sand that producing the level of pathetic performances has consequences i.e. you're out the damn door - not yet again given another chance under another managerial regime.

I’m concerned with any manager and our defenders tbh. Most aren’t anywhere near the level required.

As far as I've seen things, the "unanimous" view is that Mason isn't ready for the job but that doesn't give you the ammunition you need for your snidey posts.
(And yes, your recent post have come across as snide and confrontational for no real reason).
LOL. Think you’re reading too much into it mate. Hyper sensitive.

As you’ve probably already worked out, i’m favouring other candidates to Ryan. That’s not to say he won’t get my support until he’s replaced.

Try to relax a little, this is a forum whereby people will express all sorts of views. Some you’ll agree with, some you won’t.

Just because you’re not in agreement doesn’t mean a poster is a “snide” or “confrontational”. By definition your name calling could be perceived as “confrontational”.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand; Mason OUT! (I’m joking, please don’t hate me).

Avatar changed to Slot, all aboard the Slot train!! Toot toot!
Kinda had a feeling Slot would be our next manager, Nagelsmann becoming available muddied the waters (and yes I wanted him). Don’t care that Slot is in the Dutch league, football is football, and tactics are tactics. From a managers perspective it’s easier to transfer than say a player, who physically needs to acclimatise to a new league. I’ve got a good feeling in my knackers about him, seems like a Spurs type guy - by that I mean play some good football but ultimately get nowhere 😁

Chin up all, worse things going on in the world than football.

People blaming Mason for today are out of their minds. The club is currently an oil tanker of bad vibes. No-one is gonna turn it round in a flash.
Masons not to blame for today, but I genuinely can’t understand how people think a 31 year old, who has literally zero experience being a full time manager of a team could potentially be the man to fix this absolute shit show.

Firstly we have absolutely no knowledge of whether or not his football ideas/philosophy’s could be successful or not as we have zero evidence to base that on.

Anyone with eyes and two brain cells could tell that Dier needed to be dropped, yet Mason was hailed as brilliant by some for dropping his ‘mate’.

I don’t want to be slating the man because I’ve a great respect for him, but it would be absolute madness to give him the job.
Hopefully he leaves the club in the summer so that he can actually start managing somewhere and hopefully he ends up actually being a good manager and then years down the line maybe he might become an option for us.

But I’ve seen people suggest he drops down to the championship to manage, but there is zero chance a championship team takes a chance on him and rightly so. League 1 even isn’t guaranteed making League 2 a possibility. Yet I’m supposed to believe that he’s the right man to lead a top 6 prem club out of the doldrums?

The way this club is run makes Slot feel like the best fit.

Just side-stepping all the "but we shouldn't be run this way" arguments for a minute and dealing with our reality.

Precisely.

The issue is some want us to bring JN, by hook or by crook convince him, but by what? painting a picture different to what he will be stepping into for the next three years? No thanks.

If people can grasp the reality of what our reality is, then they'll realise JN isn't right and wouldn't survive and we will be back here sooner than the ink has dried on that contract.

But you couldn't wait to come barrelling in here to mock "everyone" who "wanted" Mason to be given the job, when the reality is it was about two people.
It's not me being sensitive by accusing you of making stuff up.

You literally stated that it was unanimous in here that Mason should get the job but it was nothing of the sort and never has been.

This is getting a bit awkward now dude. It’s a forum. I expressed one opinion, my opinion; from an uneducated fan.

Since then, you’ve clearly got yourself worked up to the point of rage.

Time to count to 10…

I like Slot, but with Nagelsmann still not signed for other clubs, I am still clutching my last hope of Levy changing stance for him to come. Because I somehow feel he can toughen us up more so than Slot. And with Poch confirmed to chelscum, I want a repeat of Battle of the Bridge next season with Nagelsmann at helm and fuck Poch and his scummy team.

You never know, the new DOF might go and sweet talk him.
