Also, technically Arne has 2 songs because there is also the fallback of Arne Slot Slot Slot (to the tune of hot hot hot).
Correction he would have 5 songs!
Arne Slot’s Blue n White Army
He’s got no hair we don’t care Arne Arne Slot
I love Arne Slotttt, Arne Slot loves me
+ the 2 you’ve mentioned.

Put everything else to one side this is why we should hire him. 🎶

Just out of my own curiousity, what are the top five leagues for you? Just in terms of you judging this I mean..

England
Spain
Italy?
France?
And if not the Dutch then…?
Think you missing the Bundesliga which is by far the 2nd or 3rd best league in the world.

Top 5 would be

England
Spain/Germany
Italy
France

The Dutch league is no comparison and you could say this season less competitive considering how poor Ajax and PSV have been.

Great shout, none of us will even care about the football as we’ll be having so much fun with all the new songs 😂
Hah not mine, someone said it last week but it's genius

I mean I'm still hoping Nagelsmann makes a last minute run at it but no way are you getting Julien into a decent football song.

Arne Slot dudu dudu dudu Arne Slot dudu dudu dudu Arne Slot dudu dudu dudu Arne Slot!
to the tune of Baby Shark

RDZ 'may' have more experience in top leagues but he simply cannot fit into that song.

That's reason enough

:cautious:

And lets face it Levy will be more inclined to give him cash than he was with Conte, just like how Larry David fired his chef after seeing him out and hiding his baldness. and got the tourettes chef instead.

Also that hiring led to the line: Fuck you, you carwash ****! ( which is still one of the best sitcom moments ever)
*reads baby shark chant*

@Rob is there a place where we can nominate people for bans?

RDZ has 4 seasons in Europe’s top 5 leagues with a track record of improving said teams. Sassuolo and Brighton. Slot has zero in top 5 leagues. This means he has a greater pedigree. I’m not sure how this is such a controversial point.
It’s a controversial point because you have selected the criteria for judging pedigree which is a subjective opinion. There is not an objective or factual answer to whether it’s harder to win the Dutch league or come 6th in the PL.

I know we haven't really had many solid links with him in a while but DiMarzio is saying Napoli will be going after Gallardo to replace Spalleti.

Nevertheless he took an unfancied team and won it at a canter and held up well in the Europa taking Roma to extra time in Rome having reached the Conference league final last year so there are opportunities to make valid comparisons which do show him in a favourable light.

To those that keep saying JN will be "doing us a favour," I posted this about him a month ago (extract below) which he said a few years back before we were outplayed by them in CL last 16 tie.

"Tottenham is a very nice and exciting tie!" he told Leipzig's social media channel. "They're one of Europe's top teams, playing in a fantastic city with star players who have a lot of experience. It won't be easy but we're really looking forward to it, especially playing in that stadium.

"Spurs have a world-class manager in Jose Mourinho. The games will be exciting and we'll need to put in two top performances. We're more than capable of doing that. What a tie! We can't wait!"

He also conducted a sit down interview with The Independent prior to the same match and said:

Nagelsmann admits he has been viewing Tottenham matches “since Mauricio Pochettino was there. He is a really good manager and his team was great to look at as a spectator."

“I have seen many Spurs games, but I haven’t been watching them with the purpose of analysis for our preparation, because we have had so much to deal with first.”

Doesn't come across arrogant at all.

The Dutch league is very comparable to France. They are slightly behind on UEFA coefficient but most of that is PSG

We have massively underperformed this season. If Slot does half the job that Eddie Howe done at Newcastle, we should be looking far better than we have this season.

I am not expecting a miracle from Slot - just get the basics right. Pass & move, possession based football with bit of good organisation at back.

That was commenting on spurs the champions league finalists. Three years have passed in which we have continued to deteriorate and he has been moving in the opposite direction.

If he did this interview this last couple of months itd be very different lets be honest, and if hes watched us as much as he claimed he did back then hes a sucker for punishment!

Yeah I think (or hope) this will be the general sentiment among fans if Slot comes in.

The situation is fairly similar to Poch coming in after the messy AVB/Sherwood season. Expectations were so low after that shit-show that Poch was given a bit more benefit of the doubt from fans and able to overcome a bit of an iffy start(at least that's how I remember it...).

As long as we have an actual plan on the pitch and the football is easier on the eye, I'd happily take some dodgy results and a few batterings along the way. After all, Liverpool got pasted a few times in Klopp's first season and United got absolutely embarrassed on at least 3 or 4 occasions this season under Ten Hag.

Next season I just want there to be a general sense we're moving forward not backwards and the football to be fun to watch. Once we've reached that baseline we can start thinking about bigger things again.

Sad we don’t have the same vision as Napoli. Happy with Slot but my number one was always Gallardo.

That looks a great fit on paper and will be massively intriguing to see not only how he fares in a top European league alongside Champions league football, but also how he looks to build upon a title winning Napoli team which is a big ask.
