quite amusing..

Stupid Tottenham doesn't even play champions league, can sign a mega contract here that makes him financially independent for the rest of his life. He should actually finish his work here and enter the mushroom league with Feyenoord. Pop again at Feyenoord and next season you can go to any top club. Even though you will be 3rd in the league next year and become your last in the champions league poul the results of this year and last year stand like a house.

Anyone can say anything about it, but this is only a choice from a financial point of view. You're really not going to tell me that you'd rather go to a club that's a trainer cemetery, never play for anything, and where no fuck is possible, than a club that's getting better and better, playing champions league, and at least gives satisfaction.

I just really don't see it. In my opinion, what has been mentioned here by someone is correct, and that is that Slot mainly chooses the pegs.

I really understand that a coach wants to take a step, but to such a club? No, that really doesn't work for me.

If it's going to happen anyway, empty the Spurs completely and make it dull, and Slot is back home at Christmas, is a trainer cemetery there in London.

They're right

no fuck is possible

What's to stop Slot resigning and buying out his contract, from what I've found the value is only around 4.5M. Spurs then pay him a signing bonus for 5M?
Probably absolutely nothing - and that’s where it could end up. And no doubt, legally, it’s much easier to agree severance at that level rather than having to go through further formalities of resigning and compensation etc. - I expect that’s what Spurs would be putting forward.

whats crazy is most people here have never watched slot's team play a minute of football yet they're adamant that hes the answer to our problems. 🤷‍♂️

I think your use of the word adamant is the key word to your sentence because it describes the certainty which some people write with when they are enthused. Two months ago, most of us were relatively ignorant on Slot but as time marched on, tid bits of information started coming out and much of it matched what many of us think the club needs. youtube videos of tactical analysis comes on. Interviews show up. Speeches at halftime, etc. A game comes on now and that is watched to get a better feel, etc etc etc. But the attributes he that many think the club needs be it tactical or man management flitered thru and we're now far more informed than we were before. And to top it off, there are people in this thread who many respect who have been following him so that is social proof of the best kind. The bottom line is that no one knows if he will be the antidote for what ails Spurs. As many have said, any manager is a gamble and that Slot looks to be as attractive as most if not all.

DeZerbi's Brighton are great to watch and potent too, way more exciting than Potters Brighton. Has always been near the top of my wishlist, but looks like we are heading for Slot, hopefully he can do similar for us, he will have his work cut out though, as now way our football setup is on a par with Brighton's current setup, at least 5/6 on that Brighton team you could sign.

Brighton were incredible tonight

I'm happy with Slot and if that's the decision then cool cool cool

But if we haven't considered De Zerbi it's a bit of a travesty

I don't really know what we could offer him...but I hope we at least tried

According to reports, Roberto De Zerbi verbally committed his future to Brighton after Tottenham ‘pushed’ to appoint him as Antonio Conte’s successor.

Spurs have been linked with several managers since Conte was sacked in March. Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have both been mentioned as potential successors to the Italian.

Let's not let ideas like that stop us from getting mad about things we don't have information about

De Zerbi is massively benefitting from years and years of work at Brighton.

Slot would be doing similar, Potter did

So basically they've asked for 5mil Euro's and we've started with an offer of zero and Davinson Sanchez which they've still counted as zero.
I love how 3 people have disagreed with this 🤣🤣 oh SC you never disappoint and a new manager search thread brings em all out, what a ride this has been guys & gals.

Hopefully by the end of the week we are full steam ahead to Slotcity 🚂

RDZ is no more the answer to our problems than Slot is. Just like Potter wasn't and isn't. There's as much chance of Slot being successful as anyone. He just happens to be the one we're ostensibly choosing. Regardless, you're entitled to your onions Fredo.

Quite right. The new Head Coach who is chosen is one part of what needs to be a new structure. I’m perfectly happy with Slot or any of the others mentioned, as long as we are also making the other necessary changes too. If we’re not then we will be back here again in 18 months.

the important thing is that the head coach has the right philosophy and approach to the game.

Worded very strangely. Sounds like it could go either way though..

Earlier I said that newspapers take advantage of people's desire for information by creating uncertainty, here it is.

It's how they get you to read 5-6 articles a day with nothing tangible attached to them.
